Do you need a specific amount of time per set or can I just hang for 3 hours straight? Which produces more gains?

Based on info from this site: it is best to hang for 20 minutes at a time, with rest periods of 10 minutes between those 20 minute sets. If you cut off/decrease circulation for too long, you risk tissue damage/death.


Starting measurements (August 2009): BPEL: 7.625in EG:6.25in BPFSL: 7.5in flaccid BP length:4in

Current measurements (Oct. 2012): BPEL: 8in EG: 6.625in BPFSL: 8.375 in flaccid BP length: 6in

Current goal: BPEL: 9in EG: 7in

I Know somones going to tell me to look this up, but does hanging focus on just length gains or will it increase girth aswell?

BB1234, Hang no more than 20 minutes at one time. Take at least a 10 minute break with the hanger off. Repeat until you don’t have any more time for additional sessions. That is generally the recommendation here and on Bib’s site.

Bhang, Hanging is mostly about length, but many report some girth increases as well.

I can hang 30 mins per set when vac hanging + taping. Up to 15 lbs, but mostly around 7.5 lbs. When I was using a bib like hanger, I could’t hang for more than 15 mins per set.

Hey pulacalului what kind of taping are you using and how can you do it ?

I`m also Vac hanging I tried a couple of time to use taping but spaces of air were made in the hanger and it slipped .

If you can explain or show a few photo you will be a great help.

Anyone using direct weights? No hanger? I can squeeze dumb-bell plates through my penis and then put a “stopper” over my head, so the plates rest on the stopper and pull my length down. Can do this with 2kg of weight for serious length of time with no coldness,discomfort.

I use 1” 3M Micropore tape. First I tape a cross on the glans with two pieces of tape, the length should be just enough to cover the glans plus one inch on each side. Then I tape an horizontal ring over the glans’s coronal ridge. It’s pretty simple.
If I’m going heavy, I just add a couple more layers of tape. If I hang lighter weights, I skip the ring on the base of the glans. I take the tape off only at the end of the all sessions, there’s no need to take it off in between sessions. Just make sure you don’t make it tight, one good practice is to have a semi erection when taping or squeeze the base just to get a little bit more volume. This way you minimize any occurring blood circulation issues.
Oh and it sucks when I need to pee and haven’t called the day done with hanging. Just try not to keep it, it sucks to take the tape off in a hurry.

I started vac-hanging recently and I found that I just can’t use that 3M micropore tape. The first time I applied it to my glans I thought everything was cool until I tried taking the darn tape off. It hurt so bad and my gland skin was streching about 1 inch. Trying to take the tape off my urethra was a nightmare. The second time I applied the tape to my skin right under the glands and had an even worse experience. After taking the tape off my dick looked like it had been beaten a million times…I had 3 parallel dark lines across my skin and their seemed to be a strange sticky residue that would not come off my dick. I seriously thought that I had injured my dick and was having a mild panic attack. Fortunately this all went away after I hopped into the shower and removed the residue. It did take a good 20 minutes though…:( I have not used the 3M tape since that day. I must say I’ve been able to hang quite easily without the tape. Sure, my head is usually a dark purple color after hanging sets but this goes away in 1 minute after I soak my dick in warm water.

Never happened to me. I suppose you’re using some kind of different 3M tape, I don’t know. Indeed, if I try to take it off too fast, it hurts a little. I usually go slowly, and let it go without pulling too much.

I tried in the past the 3M tape just that I did it all wrong, so I end trow it in a drawer. Now I`ll be more careful and hope will do it right because the weights are becoming heavy :D .

Hey Mamba20 after hanging I mean all my sets I used to do jelqs still doing it : some light jelqs and after wet jelqs and by the way performing the exercise the head get filled with blood and lowers the tape just enough to take it off without screaming :) ) anyway you need to go slow.

Would hanging 3 sets of 20 minutes produce more gains than hanging 4 sets at 15 minutes, even though both groups of sets produce a total of 1 hour under load?

Make sure you are wearing shoes with Toe protection……
