Hanging question

What are the advantages of using a hanging device such as the Wench as opposed to just using a swim cap wrap as used by Tom Hubbard?

Better control and monitoring of your unit. I would not recomend the swim cap to anyone. A few posters talked not too far back about how dangerous a swim cap could be. I think back in the caveman days of early PE, the swim cap was a nice invention, but we have progressed to much more improved forms of doing so.

I would say take a wench hands down. Easy to build and lots of trouble shooting and other people here with it to ping comments off of for help.

My main dilemma with hanging devices are the wrapping part. Even with the guides, the wench seems to slide right off or the wench will slide down until the grippers are resting on the head. I figure this problem is because I can’t wrap for anything and I also can’t find therawrap anywhere. Is a swimming cap a good substitute for therawrap?

It sound like you’re having trouble gripping your internal structures.
Don’t be afraid to really clamp down on the shaft. As long as you’re applying lateral compression and not trapping blood in the glans you can really tighten up that hanger.

I don’t know if swimcap material is comprable to Thera. Why mess around, get the real stuff. You can buy Theraband online here or from Bib or here .

Not at all, Rush. In fact, it is something I personally think is a good idea. Gives you more of chance to prolong the state of fatigue.

It is during fatigue that the deformation (growth) takes places.

I could never get it to work well.
