Hanging - No Gains...

Hey.
I just read thru the post below regarding another member hanging for 5 months with no gains.

A few years back, I hung for 4-6 months with no gains.

I recently started hanging again - thinking perhaps I did something wrong in my previous routine (the only angles I hit were SD and BTC) so perhaps I needed to do more hanging targeting other angles (the tunica).

I’m now almost 2 months into hanging - every day, as BIB has said (I did have a 6 day break to heal an injury to my glans) up to 10 pounds SD and BTC one hour-or an hour and a half each day 5 days a week, and a half hour each day on the weekends. So on average 7 hours a week.

Nothing…

A few of the members in the post (The post I”m referring to is entitled “No gains” in this thread) had some very interesting theories regarding hanging, PE, ligaments healing, etc.

A few things i know - people are different. We heal differently, we train differently, etc…

So I don’t think hanging doesn’t work - I think it works for some…but may not work for others.

One thing that does seem to work - across the board - for most people - are ADS devices or stretchers…

Extenders are FDA approved Medical Devices for the purpose of lengthening the penis….and have studies to show they do - there a bitch to use…but the science is there…

Newer vaccum style ADS devices such as the Phallosan even have a study…

So it seems that most of the growth (if any) from PE occurs in the stretching or “micro tearing” of the Tunica/Shaft - NOT the ligaments which I think is what hanging stresses the most.

So I”m at a crossroads here…I can continue to hang - and for the first time - try different angles - OTL, OTS to hit the shaft/tunica…because I think this is the best chance you have at lengthening your penis.

I also think that hanging too much will make your penis stronger and not longer… and its difficult to know when your not getting anywhere… based on the ideology of “give it more time” and/or “more weight/more reps” you really don’t know when to stop.

I think for me personally I have to decide that for myself and that’s why I wanted to ask you guys…but I think I already know the answer. Some of you guys will say 2 months is way too short….keep going….attack different angles…etc.. some will say otherwise. Its hard deciding for myself.

I”m currently 5.75 BPEL and will literally do anything to gain length but I don’t feel that hanging is working for me.

I never felt fatigue besides in the ligaments until they had been stretched out. I believe fatigue and soreness is essential to gaining and stretching the tunica tissue. Did you ever feel fatigue? 10 pounds isn’t that much from my experience.

I’ve used as much as 17.5 pounds during my 4-5 month period hanging a few years back.

I feel fatigue in my ligaments and definitely soreness…

I just don’t think (especially after reading the thread below) that hanging weights for 20 hours a week is going to lengthen my ligaments - i think it will strengthen them. I think at that rate I may be better off with an extender that stretches the tunica which I believe is responsible for most PE gains.

And you’re sure you’re stretching dick, not skin? Also, 7 hours per week isn’t that much.

There’s a guy here having great gains at lower weights now, but I think he’s hanging 3 hours per day. That’s basically 3 times what you’re doing.

I think a lot of hangers aren’t prepared for the time commitment hanging actually is. I’m one of them. I just got back into hanging myself after a long deconditioning break and have been a bit disappointed by my gains (although I have in fact gotten gains). But the real truth is that I haven’t hung as much as is needed to produce gains.

I completely tore down my ligaments in a month or two. Higher weights really stretched it out quickly, however the tunica tissue is something in another league.

I think some people need more pull force on the tunica than what the rest of the penis tissue can handle which makes it almost impossible to reach fatigue before your dick brakes.

Erect bends seems to be doing the trick fatigue but its impossible to do for more than a minute or two as your erection fades.

I’ve been hanging for a couple of years now, and at first I didn’t see much. I’m hanging abound an hour per day 5 days a week with 7-10lb. I started gaining once started coupling it afterwards with a 10-15 minute electric pumping session where in the last minute, I do some one second full vacuum by holding my finger over the hole and 3 second off. One other thing I’ve started doing recently is adding heat such as a heating pad wrapped around my hanger as well as my pump. I’ve really noticed an improvement.

Yep. Definitely not stretching skin.
If I’m going to need to hang for more than one hour a day I think I’mbetter off with some kind of ADS or extender.

I think that’s why ppl say hanging is good to deform the ligaments but I believe the tunica is better stretched with an ADS or extender.

I sure hope that regular hanging/ short intensive routines will also do the trick.

ADS devices are uncomfortable and I fear that it could hurt sensitivity in the long run. I have no science to back it up though.

Regardless of science its very possible.
Everyone’s body is different.
I would have preferred shorter routines.

Hi Sketch,

I’ve been doing BTC. I still have a high LOT and is supposed to be the best angle for fastest gains. I do it while sitting at my desk.

Have you guys seen any gains since May? I have a theory as to why people either gain or don’t from hanging (or clamping for that matter). Would love if you could collect some data
