Hiya, I have a couple of questions:

1) When hanging, do you stand or sit? I found sitting (am using the excellent Bib hanger) I have to sit right at the edge of the chair and it places strain on my back, plus the hanger bangs against the edge of the chair. Does anyone stand for their 15-20 minute sets?

2) When resting between sets, do you have to take the hanger off the penis to restore bloodflow, or is it OK just to leave it there, or loosen it?

One immediate side effect I’ve found from two days of hanging is the increased bloodflow to my penis for the rest of the day, and hard-ons are more hard. Fantastic!

I’m a novice hanger, but I sit. I’ve rigged a pulley system under my desk so I can hang straight out (SO) and the weight hangs under the desk. When I do between the cheeks (BTC) I do have to sit on the edge of the chair and let the weight hang in front of the chair. I’m too lazy to stand while hanging. :)

You should at least loosen the Bib. If you’ve got the toe-in toe-out settings fixed and don’t move the bottom screws, it’s easy enough to take it off and put it back on. I don’t unwrap between sessions.

Other, more experienced, hangers will surely correct me if I’m wrong. I haven’t been hanging all that long and don’t do it regularly.

I sit, but kinda high, like on a barstool. My wgt pack hangs too low for me to sit in a normal chair.

Ya, I get some back strain too.

Until maybe a month ago, I stood the entire time, there was nothing suitable for me to sit on. Standing isn’t so bad, I would lean over the coffee table to get a SO angle sometimes.

I take everything off and really massage and shake him out, until he looks fairly normal.

Not me. I am fairly good at searching and reading the Hanger’s Forum where I found these two images which helped me get it right.

Is it better to use a small weigth and use it all day (ADS) or use a heavy weigth

for 10-20 minutes a day?

Anybody use the ADS while they were sleeping? Sounds like you could get a good

7-8 hours a day that way.

Couldn’t you cheat on the chair with a bunch of pillows behind you to help your back out?

That’s what I do. There’s still some discomfort in my butt, however, from being right on the edge of the chair.

I’m thinking of building a special chair for BTC work, which would have a slot cut out under the area where my legs separate. The idea is the Bib and weights would hang straight down, with my butt still fully on the seat. My back would also remain against the back of the chair, so I’d still have descent back support.

I think maybe Cappy did something like this. I think he called it the “Captn’s Wench,” that clever guy.

Comfort is so important for hanging. I think it’s really worth putting forth some effort to find safe and ergonomic ways of managing it.

Hi guys, I don’t mean to thread hijack here and this is a really dumb question but I didn’t want to make a whole new thread for this.

The question is (since Bib left and I haven’t heard anything) : Is BIB still making his hangers?

I’m just coming up to speed on hanging as well. From everything I’ve read, it’s best to hang at heavy weights all day :) . If you don’t do heavy hanging, ADS probably won’t do any good. If ADS works at all, it’s as an adjunct to heavy hanging.

20 minutes per day is probably not enough. The idea is to hang enough weight to fatigue your tissues, and then “ride the fatigue” by continuing to hang through that state, reducing the weight as needed to enable you to comfortably complete your routine.

I haven’t read of anybody succeeding on hanging only 20 minutes per day. Maybe for newbie gains but not beyond that. I think one hour is about the accepted minimum. I hope hanging vets will chime in if they find I’m talking out my ass.

I would do both. If you can do an ADS and get in heavy hanging sessions even if they are only 20 min long I think you will be surprised at what results you’ll get.

Don’t try ADS at night. Too dangerous. You’ll wake up to nasty surprises. Not recommended.

Man I love the setup on the under desk hanging, I’ve got to rig something up this week, because I’m getting tired of hanging SD.

I’ve been hanging for about 2 months and have started to just hang 7.5 pounds comfortably, but I have days still where 7.5 is still a little high. So I start at 5 and move up.

I suggest always taking off the hanger after a hanging session but not the wrap. I wrap with an ace bandage.

I hang 3- 20 minute sets with a 10 minute heated break in between. I also use a space heater to keep constant heat on my dick throughout the hang.

I can’t tell if hanging is working. But its got to be if I’m going up in weight plus my flaccid stretch has gone up .25 inches.

I sit in a very comfy office chair that has an adjustable height on it. I love this chair and hang very comfortably have never even thought of my back.

VegasMan, I suggest you just find something to traction wrap you dick with, and not worry about rigging up an ADS. Its much easier to use ACE bandage to keep your dick at a good stretch without using the ADS system, however the ADS system looks to give a better stretch. Point is your dick is still stretched past its normal hang fleshold so its gotta be doing something.

Heat is your friend while hanging. Get a heat pad. Don’t use a ricesock, they are a pain, and don’t hold heat that long. My personal preference not everybodys.
