This was my main doubt on this matter.

Marinera, I don’t mean to attack the BIB hanger, that’s not my intention, all I’m trying to get my thoughts around is if the gripped part of the shaft is being neglected using any type of hanger.

I just used my hanger as an example, as it uses 1.25-1.5 inches of gripped shaft during a hanging session. Something you said led me to believe that the gripped part of the shaft is not being worked out to the full potential of the weights being hung, maybe I misunderstood you, but this was my initial worry.

I think you should take another look at my post 10 above. If you hang 10# with the hanger near the glans, the whole penis sees 10# of tension, front to back. If you hang the same weight with the hanger near the base, then assuming a “plug” is formed, the whole penis still sees 10# of tension, front to back. There’s no difference.

Well, personally I like to hang closer to the glans (about 1” behind) using a narrow hanger, since that gives me the greatest flexibility for doing fulcrums and the like.

One thing that is different based on hanger position is whether the tension is based on direct stretching (as it is behind and under the hanger) or based on tension resulting from the pressurized CCs (as it is in front of the hanger). In the latter case, the effect may be similar to clamping. The CCs are under tension, but they’re also being expanded girth-wise. This makes me wonder whether guys who attach the hanger near the base might tend to develop baseball bat effects.

I figure the part not being stretched is only the part in front of the hanger, which is compressed. It’s a small portion actually, maybe 1/4”. or less. I think also that bandaging carefully can minimize this problem, making your penis kinda a rigid thing, like a stick, so the tension is effectively acting even in front of the hanger.

Jesus.

Just hang some damn weights already :)
