Hanging - maintenance question

This is a question for seasoned or retired hangers. I’ve been hanging for 4 months (not literally!) BTC. From what I’ve read I gather that this targets the ligaments predominantly. My question is this:

Say I gain 1” in length from stretching my ligs, what routine would I need to perform to maintain my gains, if any?

I gained 1” from app 85% BTC and 15% SO. I didn’t lose any of those gains during 1.5 years off with no maintainance.

Your size is easily above average with quite nice length; any specific numbers in mind for goal size?

I made a lot of hanging gains from BTC, like RealMcdeal. I’m not sure the hanging angle makes a difference for gains maintenance, but I can say that I have never lost any length gains even when I’ve taken complete breaks from PE lasting for several months.

Thanks guys. It seems from what you say that gains made through the ligs are, in all likelihood, pretty permanent. If this is the case, it’s great news!

Can anyone corroborate this further?

When I was still gaining from hanging SD I used to lose 0.05-0.1” after taking a break from my hanging routine and instantly regained it everytime I started again. Even after not having gained for 2 years I’m still only 0.05” below my all time max length.

Piet: Excellent! I’m feeling happier about this hanging thing more and more. How much did you gain before your gains stopped?

1.9” in length however only about 0.6” of that is from hanging, most gains came from manual exercises.

I too gained about 1.2” EL from manual work. I’ve started to hang only recently. I’m curious: at what rate did your last 0.6” arrive?

I started hanging shortly before joining this forum and once I was a member I kept track of my growth while it lasted at the PE data site. You can see the chart by clicking on my nick and selecting ‘view Piet’s PE statistics’.

Okay so from May ‘03 through Feb ‘04 you gained 0.6” from hanging.
Looks like the first 0.5” came at a fairly even pace of almost 0.1” a month.

Did I get this right? If so, that’s encouraging! Do you have a log or other post describing your hanging work? For example, minutes per day, weights, etc. Also, did your EL gains stop because you stopped PE or you simply ran into a wall? I’d love to get that last 0.5” and joint the 8” club…

I always aimed for 3 20 minute sessions on a daily basis. I started with 2kg and worked my way up to 11kg but probably half of the tension was on the skin. After I stopped gaining I needed a better hanger to not gain anymore foreskin ;) While I was still gaining I always hung standing straight down.

Yeah I just hit a wall, I kept hanging but to no avail.

I did some newbie hanging a month ago, then stopped (privacy problem). I could do 5lbs, but it felt like something would snap if I sneezed.

Now, I just restarted hanging, doing only 2.5lbs. However, I can wear that weight for 1.5 hours in the morning, and the same in the evening.

I did measure an extra 0.3” SFBPL after hanging! A month ago, the post-hanging measurement was only +0.1”. We’ll see where this goes…
