hanging & jelqing?

Hi guys,

just wandering,is it ok to only hang,or do i have to do the jelqing also?.I have read on here many guys just hang and still get good gains.Or is both needed?

I ask because at the moment for me,i want to hang until i get my goal length, then start jelqing to get my goal girth.Is this idea ok?

My routine isnt too full on as i am just starting hanging:

1 hour total time for hanging broken up into times of 10mins hanging and 5-10 mins rest.Done before i goto bed, because it more convinient for me.

Is this ok, or do u guys have some ideas or suggestions for me,thanks everyone:)

For hanging you need a good bloodflow to minimize risk of injury, regular jelqing should keep your bloodflow good.

Due to mean as Piet has said, jelqing between sets of do you mean a jelqing routine as well as a hanging routine?

I’m going to hang SD AND jelq. Something I’ve never done together on a routine.
I’m going back to SD today after over 3 months of layoff from SD. And my last jelq routine was my first 6 weeks of PE back in April of last year!

I’ve given up on upwards hanging. I reached fatigue after about 3 hrs. of 10 lbs. of weight which was good for a week and then no fatigue in the shaft anymore. I don’t have the means/privacy to increase the hanging weight/time since I wore an upwards ADS instead of a pulley or an actual OTS setup. So I’m still at 6-1/8” BPEL. I didn’t gain at all from my limited version of upwards hanging.

I’m also going toss the “rubber band theory” out the window especially since hanging SD targets the ligs anyway, so who cares how thick I get my tunica from jelquing when I’m only looking for inner penis/ligs gains?

Bib did say most of his gains came from SD anyway.

Well, I’ve only been at it one year, but I have gotten good gains by experimenting to find what works for me. My two main exercises are hanging and pumping. For several months I had given up on jelqing because, at the time, I didn’t feel it was working for me, and quite frankly, I just didn’t like it. But about a month ago I began to jelq again and this time I enjoy more. My approach is pretty much like my gym workouts, I change my routine every so often so that I don’t get stale. I have tried many things since last year, including the above and other things such as the Ring of Power and the thera-p wrap. One of the things I hate to do is warming up prior to hanging. For the last month I have been hanging without warming up, against the advice of many vets here. But so far I don’t find warming up is important to me. When I’m ready to hang, I want to hang right now, not 10 minutes later after warming up. But that’s just me. So, my opinion is do what works for you, and don’t be afraid to try new things, as long as you’re careful and take it real easy.

I don’t recall my starting stats, but right now I am 7” BPEL and 6.5 EG.

I’ve been getting gains without a lot of jelqing but what I do is light hanging in between my heavy hanging routines, as in all day. What I’ve found is that my gains are solidified and my gain then becomes more consistent. More important is I’ve seen a gain in my girth at the same time as my length improves. Golf weights do the trick in between my heavy hangings. I’ve gone to using heavier weights then golf weights. they don’t make them heavy enough so I’ve had to make my own out of lead. That way I get about 40% more weight in the same size ring.

As far a jelqing goes, I jelq on occasion for circulation but with as much as 12 to 15 hours a day hanging either with golf weights or on the Bib hanger I just don’t have time for other things. I’ve been getting about 1/8 of an inch in 10 days. I’m finding though that rest periods are becoming almost essential, due to fatigue, wear and tear.

Monty, excellent idea about making your own “walk around” hanging weights. I used to make fishing sinkers wit a blow torch and lead as a kid. Can you give a brief description of how you make your own golf weights?

Well it’s kind of involved but first I used Plaster of Paris to make a mold of a golf ring then modified the mold slightly. I’m in the process of developing permanent molds of various shapes and sizes so I can duplicate easier. Plaster works OK but isn’t very durable. There’s all kinds of ways to do this. Right now I’m investigating the soft plastic covering materials for durability. I should have line of weights shortly. What I’ve been doing is changing the shape of the ring to prevent pinching. Nothing gets your attention then a pinch. At the same time I’ve increased the weight by 40% so now you can hang with less number of rings. Then I made them even on the outside so they don’t show as much.

For the last two weeks I’ve been using the standard Bib, but for the first 11 months or so of my hanging routine I used the Bib starter.

I’ve always had good sized girth but I didn’t realize it was that unusual until I read many of the stats in the various forums. I would say that I’ve gained about .5” in girth in one year, but my flaccid girth looks pretty normal or maybe undersized. I am a true “grower”, I look painfully small while flaccid, especially in length, but blow up to an impressive erect length and girth. My initial goal was just to have larger flaccid hang, and it is quite larger but I pump so much that I’ve never really taken a long enough break to see if they are permanent flaccid gains. It’s very depressing to be real ..big while erect then have to deal with a significantly smaller size after the fact. Soon I will submit photos.

But to try to answer ronin_oz question- I would stay away from too much jelqing if you really want length you might gain grith which might inhibit lenght gains, (but i’ve heard uroligists say that jelqing can not improve size gains. for what ever thats worth- I hate doctors).

Try to do hanging in the morning, increase hanging sets to 20 min, jelq a little between sets to restore blood, and find an ads that your comfortable with and wear it at least 4 hrs a day even off days but it shoould be a light stretch. search this site there are some nice devices posted.
