As I said in my previous post I have just begun hanging. So far I’ve done two sessions and they’ve been great, especially the hands-free nature of it. Now my concern is that it doesn’t feel nearly as intense as my manual stretch sessions used to. Is this how hanging normally is in that you don’t necessarily feel like you are doing as good of a workout but you really are? Before, after my manual stretch session I really felt like I had gotten a good stretch going, but now after I hang I don’t have the same feeling.

I’ve been PEing long enough to know not to hastily change a routine without giving it time, so I’m not worrying, I’m just curious on your opinions.

Sorry I should’ve posted a link to it but my routine consists of:

5 minute warmup
3 sets of 20 minutes hanging with 5lbs
10 minutes rest between each hanging set where I massage and jelq to get circulation going again
5 minute warmdown

This is then followed by my normal routine (minus manual stretches) which can be found in the routines forum.

As you add weight you will notice substantial differences in stress.

6 lbs. may feel a lot different to you. If not 6, surely 8lbs.

But don’t rush it, you MUST condition the skin, or you will be in for a world of pain and discomfort.

When I hang, I don’t feel the after feeling as with manual stretching either, but I certainly feel the fatigue during. And it seems to be working as I’ve been gaining ever sinse I started. So I don’t think it’s necessary to have that feeling when it comes to hanging. That’s just my opinion, though I’d like to here from some of the more seasoned Hangers.

That’s interesting because that’s pretty much how I feel. For me though I don’t know if the fatigue I feel is from a good stretch in the ligs and tunica or just from the skin.

Hanging is more about time then weight.

The feeling you get from manual stretching is different than hanging because you are applying a larger force for a shorter time.

Hanging fatigue is cumulative, so don’t be too quick to increase the weight you use.

As Ramrod has said, you need to give your penis time to become conditioned to the rigours of hanging. Just be patient and give it time. There is no way you could make an informed decision after just two sessions.

My experience is similar to Redwood & hyyprr: fatigue while hanging, but not so much afterwards. I’m pretty much a beginning hanger, too, on my 8th week. I’m up to 4 sets of 15 minutes with 6 to 9 pounds. Golf weights go on right afterwards to maintain a little stretch.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt fatigue from the skin. It feels deeper. (But I have a fair amount of extra skin even though I’m cut.)

I also feel it during, but not so much afterwards.

however, if I do (3) days in a row, like this week, by the third day I have to drop by starting weight because I just can’t handle it.
