Hey guys, does anyone here have experience hanging over the shoulder from BTC angle? Is it advised? I.e. hooking into hanger (i use homemade xleeve type hanger) running a rope up your back and over shoulder to the weights? I would think it would be the mother of all BTC hangs?.

No experience with it. Would you be standing? If you are sitting are you staying slightly up so the line and hanger can go underneath you?

The only way I can envision this is the hanger is coming out behind your butt and the line goes up you back and then the weight is in front of you or attached to a pulley or something else at shoulder level. Sounds kind of crazy to me. Having a hard time seeing a restful position to be in.

However, if you can rig something up please let me know. Potentially sounds like it could be an intense BTC angle if you can get the mechanics of this right.

I was thinking standing and doing it. I may try tonight if I get to hang. will start very low weight maybe even just a slight tug without weight to get a feel for it. I would think standing with a slight squat or even legs apart would make it possible and even comfortable. I am curious if it would stretch the skin more than ligs. Ill try to report back tonight after trying it.

So first let me say I think a xleeve type hanger is the way to go. Im not sure how others would work honestly. This turned from a hanging test to a leverage test. When the rope goes up your back and over the shoulder your shoulder breaks alot of the tension. Problem solved just grabbed the rope with one hand bent over in a slight squat and pulled. Used my shoulder as a fulcrum to apply more pressurr when I wanted. Stretch felt great I did it for roughly 5 minutes with my ligs rotated right and then left for 2.5 min each. I have extremely strong ligs. I can say that all the stretch seem to go to my ligs except when some hairs got pulled out by device. ouch haha. I cant say it made me fatigue any quicker as I was slightly sore from the previous night hang. I will be trying again. I would say this method is BTC stretch with grip and leverage assist.

A very positive note was my PIs. Felt good after session but during the night, my night wood woke me up for amostt an hour off and on which I was extremely happy with and doesnt usually happen to me. Maybe coincidence

Did you try putting something smooth over your shoulder to cut down on friction? I know Bib recommends a cut up milk jug over the shoulder for the rope to glide over easier. That might mitigate your lost leverage just a bit.

Attach the rope to one of those pads you get on duffel bag/hold all straps and then attach another rope to the other end to attach the weights. The rope attachments could prove uncomfortable, flat rope would probably work better, and the pad/rope attachement would have to be adjustable (like the adjustments you get on goggles, maybe?) This might be more comfortable, you may have to swap shoulders/adjust it ever so often, would make it easier to conceal under a shirt or alike.

Could even attach curtain weights to the other rope to aid in concealing your hang (May have to continue the rope into the trousers to better hide them)

Actually, come to think of it, would a pad that large mitigate the effect of the weight on your tackle?

You could place the rope through the pad, then have it lead to your trouser pocket so you could pull it throughout the day.

Ive been using a thin nylon cord in which I removed the inner cloth. I honestly loved the feeling of manually pulling on it (may even try some weird btc JAI stretch with it), the leverage made it to where I think I could go a long time. Where can you get curtain weights at and how much do they weigh?

Does anyone else have that “cord” that you rotate side to side while hanging? There are other topics on it.

Seems that these curtain weights and flat weights are too light to hang with :/

Thats what I was thinking. I actually have 1/2 lb pure lead bars in my shop from making fishing lures. 16 pounds worth. Could probably cast something that will work for a weight.

I was going to say you could cast the weight you need, but I honestly thought no one would have the facilities haha

Haha its funny I made fishing lures as a hobby and just so happened had most the materials needed for an awesone hanger and weights.

So does anyone else notice this cord when hanging? I usually do 10min with it turned right then 10 more turning it left. If it turns mid-hang by itself it doesnt feel so great.
