Hi dutyquest when you was on about tug back when hanging do you mean the hole penis srinking in or just the glans/head srinking in underneath the hanger. The reason I ask is because some times when I am hanging the glans/head srinks in to the hanger.

That’s natural for the glans to be covered by the excessive pull of skin. The ‘tug-back’ referred to is difficult to explain since everyone will have different sensations, but when the weight is exceeding your penis’ ability to stretch comfortably, your ligaments will tighten and attempt to ‘tug-back’. Its like a slinky, it expands nicely to a point, and than it begins to deform since you have exceeded its tensile strength.

I have another question if you don’t mind when hanging an feel fatigue how important is it to drop the weight in the first couple of sets? I am at 12 pound now and feel a little fatigue but not enough I have to drop weight at any point even if I do 5 or 6 sets. Is this a bad thing I really don’t want to go up any more weight only been 3 months into hanging. Thanks bad luck

There is nothing wrong with dropping the weight during your sets, you do not want to rush going up in weight. There is a tendency (we have all had it) to want to push and hang more, but this is only defeating the exercise. You want your hanging episodes to be 15-20 minutes in length, so hang a weight that allows you to feel stress but does not have you with clenched teeth.

Ok cool I will take it steady with the weight. I am doing 20 minutes sets the manual stretches are going good to. I do 5 minutes before hanging then 5 minutes after and some through out the day.

How much time should lapse between sets of hanging? That is the minimun, I mean.

Hey restored91 I am not sure on this one but I usually leave it at the minimum of 3 to 4 minutes and if the unit look good to go after that start hanging again. 5 minutes some times just to be sure everythinks fine.

Get the rice sock back on warm up again and do 100 Kegels, its more about restoring circulation than minimum time.

You want blood flow to remove built up waste and bring in nutrients, hanging is not something you rush through, like all PE it is a commitment to good practice that you are after not shortcuts

Hi all I could do with little advice this last month of hanging. I have noticed a dark patch of skin on my unit it’s only on one side though. When I first noticed it I fort it was muck but it’s not its the skin it does not hurt or any think. I am having two days off of hanging just to see if that helps. I am still doing the manual stretches. So as any one else had this happen to them and is it oat I should be worrying about. Thanks if anyone can help me on this one

Discolouration of the shaft is normal when we hang.

Occasionally the marks are larger than most and can be alarming, but generally they dissipate over time.

If the marks are itchy or sore then I would be more concerned, but otherwise bash on.

Hi a-unit thanks that as put my mind at rest I shall start hanging again. The two day I have had off as not dun much to the discolouration it is still there. I was wondering if there is any cream to help it go because it look a bit odd an not in a good way.

a-unit hows things been going with the reverse jelq I have been meaning to try them but not got round to it.

Also experiment with a warm down then a a stretched cool down, the cool down will help with inflammation. You can also use warmth again later in the day or the next morning to increase circulation and increase nutrient supply to speed recovery.

What sort of hanger are you using and how long have you been PEing previous to hanging, how are your PIs?

Hi behemoth thanks for the advice I am using a hanger I made and I think its call AFB hanger. When I first started pe-ing I did the newbie routine for 3 or 4 months. I then went on to using a pro extender for 5 months an after that hanging. The thing is when I first start I did not measure properly so I kind of f**ked up so I carnt really say if I gained from the newbie routine or the extender. My PIs are not so good at the moment but I fort that was down to hanging.

So if your PI’s are not good and you want to keep hanging perhaps drop the stretches, you should not need to do both at once, hanging can be very intense.

Going up in weight to fast will make your unit tougher and less amiable to hanging, adding stretches will quicken the process.

Think about taking two weeks off then start back jelqing, work your way back to hanging again, many find a short break does them wonders and can kick start growth, it certainly won’t do your PI’s any harm and two weeks break will heal anything that is struggling now and causing EQ problems. You won’t lose your gains in two weeks, and it is a good chance to take stock of what you are doing and organize a journal so that you can keep track of what works for you and plan your routines out for the future.
