Very true nick. Or guys reach one (or start to get close) and they make another, or perhaps for personal reasons work-out times are increased or decreased.

Ciao

SS4Jelq, you said Ive been in the long day situation and its really hard to get motivated but you get a nice feeling when you do your routine when 90% of people would just go to bed.

This has run thru my head and been great motivation for me the last couple days. You are right, it is a nice feeling that I’m doing something for myself, and especially like you said, when most people would just go to bed.

Thank you.

We need some hangers to step forward and pick up the slack now that I’m hanging again I will try to add more input. And hopefully some of you long timers will kick in.

Either that or we could merge it back into Main Members.

As PEers are rare among the populous, I think us hangers are rare among the PEers, so keeping the board going is tough at times.

My excuse: I’ve only been hanging a few weeks and can’t give much back other than my encounters along the way in my latest hanging adventures.
Which I’ve been trying to do by the by. Perhaps people can learn from the trials I’ve been through, and how not to build a penis death trap from the first design I made etc.

I’ve also only been hanging for a short period. I’ve tried to have some input about hanging lately, but my experience is too limited at this point.

It took me quite a while to make the leap into hanging. Could this explain why there aren’t so many hangers? In other words, if I hadn’t stuck with PE exercises as long as I have I never would have made it to hanging. Considering that there are plenty that don’t stay with PE for a long time, and since hanging tends to be looked at as riskier and more advanced, many PEers never get this far. Does this seem like a reasonable assumption or am I missing something here about all this?

I think you may be onto something here. When not hanging I didn’t pay much attention to the hanging forum as a whole. If it is in the main member forum it may get looked at more often and in time interest drummed up sooner among PEers about it.

At first I thought it would be a shame to lose the Hangers Forum as it’s own board, but then I thought back to how I got into hanging, and it was from reading posts from Dino9X7, Captn Hook, Hobby, Piet and other hanging advocates in the main member forum that made me realize hanging wasn’t so psychotic as I first thought.
(Either that or their posts simply drove me mad too… but if making some sweet gains in a short time is crazy, than consider me crazy!) :-k :hanger:

I’m a new hanger and have a question about weights. Rather than hijacking and ruininf this great thread about why we don’t have any questions, I’ll post my question on a new one.

The hanger forum is needed we just need guys like me and other hangers to start contributing and answering questions.

been,
I shy-ed away from hanging at first, but then got very curious when the stretching and jelqing were not working for me.
Hanging seemed a lot harder than the other PE: pumping seems easiest, then stretching and jelqing and squeezing.
But now, I think hanging is the best PE because it can be done (completed) in two years.

I don’t want to stray too much off topic and turn this into a “the merits of Hanging” thread, but
I believe almost anyone can make substantial gains by seriously dedicating a year of hanging.
That’s what I’m doing now so I’ll let you know.

I plan on quitting hanging on my 1 year Bib hanging anniversary that is coming up in 1/05.

Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgh! ~Howard Dean Illustrations & Diagrams PE -- What's it all about? Read this.

I am one a month long break, except for doing the biker’s hang for 12 hours a day. I have switched from out-right hanging to 20 stretch sessions with bungee cords in the OS, SO and a very low angle.
When I was hanging, I worked my way up to 20 lbs. for 15 minute sets ( 4 or 5). By that time the hanger had slipped enough that continuing was to uncomfortable.
Now with the cord, I sit and easily do 20 minute sets, sometimes going 22, for 6 or 8 sets and the time isn’t dragging. I’m sure the cord isn’t 20 lbs. of pull, but I think the added time and sets will make up for the lower tension. I gained about an inch, only half assed, unconsistantly working out over the course of a year.

I read all the posts, but feel most of my comments or replys aren’t worth the bandwith they would take.

Hanging is to PE as boxing is to sports: You play baseball, you play football, you play golf - you don’t play boxing.

Doing away with the hangers forum is a bad idea. Nature hates a vacuum.
