So Ive made a few posts here and there in regards to hanging. A quick background……Been doing PE since jan 1 and started hanging beginning of june. I think what gains I show in my signature are a combination of i itial mis-measuring and from a stint of manual stretching. After june Ive been hanging religiously working my way up to 12.5lbs two hours a day, split up into am/pm sessions (LG). I have made pretty much ZERO gains in 4 months. I understand some require more weight than others but I figured at least 1/8” considering Im still pretty new to this, but no dice.

For the record I tested prior to hanging and established about a 7:30 LOT with a med/low exit point. Could never figure out the palp test. Over time my LOT has seemed to go UP, which from what Ive seen doesnt make sense. I dont feel much pull on my ligs btc with that weight.

So I decided to just experiment and give upper angles a try. Ive been alternating ots (more like 10 oclock or so) with fulcrum over a broomstick with 7.5lbs. Its actually a bit lighter considering the resistence from the rope dragging.

Anyways, Ive made more progress in the last WEEK than the past 4 months. Seems like after a few sessions im able to stretch my bpfsl a little bit further. It confuses me as I understand tunica gains come a lot slower and lig gains come fast. Ive noticed a 3/16-3/8” increase in a week which im extatic about. Just thought Id share and see if any experienced members had any explantion as to why things are going this way so I can gain a better understanding of how my body responds.

Man, you are really concerned about this! :) Gains is gains, keep doing what works. And try the palpation test again, you are basically feeling inside your body for the base of the pubic bone. The distance between that point and where your penis exits your body is your theoretical maximum lig gains. The actual amount of lig gains, however, will probably be somewhat less than this.

As a note, the palpation test grosses me out. I hate feeling the internal parts of my body. But I think it is a good tool for those that can.

LOT is meaningless. ‘Ligs gains’ are meaningless too, you are not going to gain any significative erect length doesn’t matter how much you stretch the ligs.

Why would you not gain any erect lenght from lig-stretching?

I remember reading a thread which stated that doing to much weight makes you “plateau” very quickly. Since you condition your penis to higher and higher weights all the time it becomes very resistant to growth in the direction you are hanging. I’m currently at around the same weight as you (12.1 lbs), but only been doing it for 1 week When you say upper angles, what do you mean exactly? Can you show a pic??

Because your penis is not attached to the body by the ligs, but from the inside. Anecdotally, several members had the suspensory ligs cut and what they reported is no gains at all.

Hanging at high angles will do little or nothing for length, it could add a bit of girth though.

Ok, but what does hanging at “high angles” really mean? The opposite of hanging straight down or what? :p

High angles are basically anything above straight down or between the cheeks. Over the shoulder, over the leg, straight out, straight up.

Lig gains: I know marinera and I disagree on this one. Although he is right that you can’t simply “pull the penis out” as DLD or Tom Hubbard suggest as it is anchored inside your body at the pubic ramus, you can straighten the penis out and get it to exit lower by lengthening the ligs. I have posted anatomy drawings to illustrate this in the past, this time I will draw it and post it here in a bit so you can see what I mean.

And in regards to lig snipping operations, the people who lose length or gain nothing, that is usually due to the very high complication rates of these surgeries. There are many who have gained length just from having their ligs cut. Unfortunately it is less than 50% because the complication rate is so high.

Marinera, so if one cant gain length by stretching the ligs btc and none from ots, are u stating that hanging in general in ineffective? It doesnt seem to be true as many have gained especially btc. I feel like im gaining so not sure wheres its coming from exactly then. If I continue at this rate that could be a break through as I really havent seen anyone gain much at high angles..

Also, why would you say u gain girth and not length ots?

BTC does stress the dorsal side of the tunica, which is where your gains can come; actually with a proper BTC stretch you are using your body somewhat like a fulcrum.

Ok. So you feel all gains from hanging come from the tunica? Why is it that its would only net girth?

Erect length gains will come enlarging the tunica and the glans. You can gain some girth at the base through hypertrophy of the ligs.

Hanging at high erection angles (like OTS) will give some girth because it will target the underside of the penis; there, basically there is no tunica albuginea (not 100% true but good aproximation for our discussion), and the ligs are in their shorter position; you will notice that in that position the sole thing that can be stretched are the sides of the base, where the CS is more prominent; so, stretching that way will give more room for the CS to expand when there is no weight pulling; you will also notice that after a good high erection set of hanging/stretching, the penis tends to shape itself kinda like a triangle at the base.

Mechanism For Lig Gains

Ok, so as promised here are a couple illustrations I made to illustrate what is happening when we make lig gains.

Disclaimer: these are not meant to be exact depictions of human anatomy, but rather as a model to show how lig gains are possible.

All of the repeating structures in these drawings (the pubic symphysis and the pubic ramus) were traced, so they are to scale and in the same positions in space. Also all the length markings were made with a measuring tape so I didn’t just draw one longer than the other.

Picture 1: this shows the rough anatomy of someone who has the potential for lig gains. Notice how the ligs are short and pull the penis up close to the pubic bone creating a slight upward curve in the penile shaft inside the body.

Picture 2: this shows the rough anatomy of someone who has maximized lig elongation or started out with very long ligs already and has no potential lig gains as a result. Notice how the ligs are much longer and therefore there is no curve in the penis, it exits straight from the pubic ramus out of the body.

But that is not the whole story. In the first two pictures I drew the penile surface as a vertical line, in reality the body also takes an inward curve from the body’s surface directly anterior to the pubis to the perineum (the taint) between the legs. This adds to the effect.

Picture 3: by tracing, I have superimposed the two above illustrations over a curve representing the inward curve of the body’s surface. Notice how a lower exit point actually exposes more of the penile shaft just by virtue of being lower on the surface of the body.

Here is an anatomical diagram roughly correlating to picture 1.

Here is another anatomical diagram much closer to resembling picture 2.

Notice the inward curve of the body’s surface in both of the above diagrams as well.

Another note, as the ligs lengthen, because of the inward curve of the body, they actually get nearer the surface just above the penile exit point. If you have a very low exit point and are very lean, you can actually see them through the pubic skin above the penis. A good real life example of this anatomy is the porn star Criss Strokes. Mr. Strokes has a VERY low exit point with VERY long ligs and you can see them protruding just above his penis.

That makes sense. Ive always been pretty lean with little to no fat pad and when erecr or stretching to measure bpfsl, I almost have an upside down turkey neck. I can grab my ligs. I have an upward curve and prob a 10:30-11 oclock erection angle. When erect I can barely bend my penis past 9 oclock, but when flaccid my ligs do feel long/loose. I notice if u lift ur leg say onto a si k and view your package from the side, you can almost get a better view of your exit point and angle. Easier to see when erect but when I do so it looks like a straight line, if that makes any sense.

All of that tells me you have very long ligs already, except maybe the high erection angle. Is it that high because of your upward curve?

Im not sure if thats the reason. From what Ive seen usually those go hand in hand. Its almost like the base area where the ligs are get tight during erection.
