I believe, I’m not to certain, that when the detrusor muscle contracts to a certain point it signals the urinary sphincter to relax. You have a voluntary and involuntary urinary sphincter. But like I’m trying to get across without beating this damn horse anymore is I’m not too sure about the exact function and which muscles do what. The kegel and reverse kegel both seem to be antagonistic and are natural movements. All I know is it works and the whole reason I decided to take you up on this is to prove they are neither nonsensical or dangerous.

LongerS, do you realize that probably if you take thre guys who are doing ‘reverse kegel’s’ you’ll get three guys doing three different things? It’s not clear what you are doing when Reverse Kegeling, so make your deduction. Since I don’t know for sure what you exactly are doing, I’m not saying anything about this. What I’m calling pointles is the true reverse Kegel’s, what I call dangerous is the ‘forcing piss’ version of Revers Kegel’s.

When you start pissing, your bladder contracts and anal spinchter relaxes. When you have pissed, the bladder relaxes and spinchter contracts. Speaking of ‘inhibition’ just makes things vague and confused IMO.

Very true if you have interstitial cystitis. I have worked with many patients with urological issues. A healthy person will not start bleeding when forcing piss. I think you’re magnifying the whole “forced piss” movement into outrageous proportions and then looking at that as rediculous.

If you look at post #28 in this thread again you will see what I describe as a reverse kegel and what I think anyone who is doing a reverse kegel is doing. Its very simple once you get it down, no need to complicate it or blow it out of proportion. Its a simple contraction, not a balls to the wall, red in the face, almost piss and shit myself explosive effort.

What are you doing I don’t know. What others are doing you don’t know either. There are tons of threds on this ‘exercise’ exactly because no one knows how they are performed, what they are supposed to train and what are the supposed benefits. And not all the posts I linked are about interstitial cystitis, of course you didn’t even read the link I posted.

Straining to uriate is not a good thing. Relaxing a muscle accomplishes nothing. It is just that simple.

I’m sorry, if there is something you don’t understand can you post it as a question instead of a passive aggressive remark. Its simple to me but then again I’ve been doing it for years. There are also many threads about how to do a kegel but I think we can agree there are right ways and wrong ways to perform a kegel.

Again I’m not straining to urinate. I’m flexing muscles that would be flexed to initiate a pee.

Go to the bathroom. Clear your mind. Pee. While peeing focus on the sensations and muscles you think you are contracting. I feel a tensing above my penis and pushing down where my BC and IC muscles are. Finish peeing. Now repeat with an empty bladder. Try to get that feeling down. You don’t have to open the voluntary urinary sphincter for it happen. It doesn’t have to be intense. I don’t know what your experience was with the kegels but it took me some practice before I got it all worked out, yet today I can do it without thinking. The same thing will happen with these.

This is the way I learned and do them if I can chime in :-)

Kegels are a conscious contraction, release, and relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles and anus, and can incorporate the abdominals.The fact that the anus contracts during orgasm has nothing to do with a person’s desire to engage in.. it is simply a biological fact.

In order to perform Kegels properly, you will need to learn about how your body works, and this will require touching your anus briefly. If you have an aversion to this, I would encourage you to overcome it for the sake of your sexual health. You will only need to touch your anus once, during your first session. If you can not overcome this, you can still follow along and put your hand as close as you are comfortable to your anus without touching it, or nowhere near it at all if you prefer.

Contract the muscles that you would to stop the flow of urine, or to hold urine in when you need to go. In this case, wait until you are urinating. Once you have started, stop the flow of urine. You may not be able to fully stop the flow at first. Repeat the squeeze and release of those muscles a few times. This should be sufficient to have trained your brain what muscle groups to flex. After you are finished and dressed, flex the same muscles. If you can do so, excellent. If you require more practice, just do so again each time you urinate until you are able to easily mentally control that muscle group.

Once you can do Now squeeze those muscles. You will feel your anus tighten and draw inwards. Male bodied people will feel the base of your penis firm up and push out and/or forward a bit. Female bodied people should feel a squeeze inside your vagina. If you do not feel these things, do not worry. At first your muscles may be weak, and the weaker the muscles, the less movement they produce. Contract and release the muscles a few times, and feel what they do to your body.Now, contract the muscles and hold for 5 seconds (hands still in place). Then release for 5 seconds. Now push, in the opposite direction as when you squeezed. You should feel your perineum and anus push outwards / bulge. More so the perineum. Push, and hold the push for 5 seconds. Notice that while this push is similar it is distinctly different from pushing during a bowel movement. If it feels absolutely identical try to stay focused on the muscle group you were squeezing, and use your hands, touching your perineum, to strengthen the mind-body connection, and focus the push.

1.) Longerstretch. I just did a reverse kegal for the first time based on your explanation and I can understand how if it was done to an extreme, like any PE exercise it could cause injury. More so I think you would just shit yourself but here’s my question: How often do you do these? What kinds of reps? Did you find a direct link between them and the longer orgasms and harder erections?

2.) Would you all at least consider answering the original question of the thread having to do with my EQ issues/Rest days? ;)
