Hi,

Whilst hanging I always hang flaccid, but what would be the effect of erect hanging?

A broken penis?

I don’t actually know what it would do to you but it probably is not a good idea.

Nobody really knows. Erect hanging has been advised against all along, the theory being it would greatly increase the chance of injury.

Way back when, bending and similar techniques were also seen by some as very dangerous. Don’t take that as a blessing, only as a comment that “common wisdom” doesn’t always prove true.

When I hear the term erect hanging, it’s about as horrifying, as hearing, about a guy that jabbed a syringe full of heroin into his penis.

True! But does anyone get an slight erection when wrapping up and loading their hanging device on? Not fully hard and loaded but maybe 20-30% this seems to happen to me sometimes.

csuave, that happened to me sometimes too when hanging. I don’t think it’s a big deal, as long as you let the semi-erection subside before loading up the weight.

As for fully erect “hanging,” I don’t really see how that would be possible, anyway.

Yeah.. I frequently get erections while already IN the hanger that subside before the end of the set with no noticeable effects.

What would be tough is trying to attach a hanger to an erect dick. For one it’d probably hurt.. for two it wouldn’t be tight enough when you went flaccid.

I’m not sure there’s really a safety issue other than that.

Thank you for bringing this up because it is something I have been wondering about. I mean most importantly I feel what’s best for my unit. I struggle at times because sometimes wrapping up gives me one of those huge erections which will simply not go away.

In such cases I normally have to resort to some shadow boxing or push ups to get it to subside. However it can be a bitch and thus have to sometimes leave hanging for that period and resort to pumping. How do you folk deal with those unwanted erections during or before your hanging sessions?

I hang erect sometimes using a vacume hanger. I use 2.5-5 lbs straight down. I start flaccid then work to an 90%-100% erection. I am seeing good results. I must say be carefull !

When I first started hanging this was an occasional problem. However, eventually, as you increase weight, etc, your dick will learn the difference between work and play.

Hanging erect is not a good idea—if you want more stress, try new angles, fulcrums (e.g RSDT), or even try swinging.

Just use your Jedi powers and command your penis to relax—eventually it will start working *wink*

If you lay on the coffee table and couch and your boner is pointing straight down it might work. Any other ideas

When I first started, there was no PE info available. I used to hang always 100% hard. Nothing has ever given me better results. There are dangers, but at the same time there is something called reason and common sense. To each his own. Natural selection. After learning PE, I haven’t done it yet because I’ve been looking for a good attachment all these years. Back in those days, I used a coaxial cable with a tie knot behind the glans, and dumbells hanging from it.

Wow, that’s wild. I don’t plan on hanging erect, but out of curiosity, how much did you gain off doing that, and did you develop a curve from it?

Well, since I was around 20, without info, never kept a log. But if I had to guess, probably gained 1.5” solid. My tool has never shrunken.

I didn’t develop any curve. I have a curve, but that has been there since my carbon unit was built in this dimension of time and space. Once I save a few extra pennies, I’d like to buy a good hanger device and star hanging hard again.

My technique was, while hanging 100% erect, I used to switch between standing and bending over position to hit different angles; standing hits the nerve, bending over creates a straight out pull. Then I used to swing the weights while standing for a while, and then stretch/jelq the phallus behind the balls. It worked for me. I don’t know how in the world I figured out all those techniques by myself. In those years the only thing I could find online, was an ancient tradition from the middle east and Africa where people used to hang weights from their penis to make it bigger. That’s how all started.

No thanks. I will not be hanging fully erect. I’m sticking with bib’s ideas.
