Engorged head

Does anybody keep the head engorged while hanging to gain head girth? I have heard people mention it, but was curious whether it was a safe, coommon thing to do?

NOOOO! Even slight engorgement was bad for me. When I 1st started hanging I made the mistake of having and engorged head and the tip of my head ended up with a huge amount of broken blood vessels, which lead to a scab a couple of days later. Ouch!

how do you keep your head from getting pumped with blood? I mean, I’m finding impossible not to having blood and pressure squeezed to the head. Is this acceptable if it’s only slightly?

I always squeeze the blood out of the head before I attach the hanger. You can’t prevent a little, but try to have as little engorgement as possible.

With light weight having a lot of engorgement may not be too much of an issue, but when you get up over 10lbs it will become an issue.

The key, as with so many hanging problems, is to TIGHTEN THE DAMN HANGER. Then tighten it more. And so forth. If the hanger is really grasping the deep internal structures, the weight will not be supported so much by the head.
