Bib is one of the pioneers of hanging. He designed (and still sells) the bib hanger, the original compression-style hanger. He tells his story in a thread he posted many years ago on Thunder’s:

The claims he makes are, in a word, incredible. He says he gained 4.5” in length in about 2 years. That’s almost .2” per month. And his technique was just as un-worldly - saying that he used as much as 45 lbs of weight for hours a day.

I don’t know anyone else that either (a) claimed those kind of gains by hanging, or (b) used that kind of weight for any length of time.

What do you think? Dangerous? Crazy? False? True? Know anyone else that tried it and had anything close to those kind of results?

I think Bib has an excellent sales pitch and even better customer service. However, I’m not convinced of his product’s efficacy. I’ve used his hanger for several months and had many conversations with him on his forum to dial it in. Fast track to personal injury, frustration and disappointment. I’m sure some people gain with his style of hanging, but I’ve yet to see ANY evidence to back his personal accomplishments. I’m sure he’s gained, but I’m also convinced his gains are exaggerated to sell his product.

I’m still very impressed with his commitment to answering any and every question thrown at him on his Bib forum.

I know on MoS there are two old posters from years ago, Extreme and Dash, who talked about heavy hanging 40 plus pounds, but they only did one or two 10-15 minute sets a day.
A little after those post KingSnake showed huge interest in the technique due to Extreme and Dash’s uniform girth gains but I never saw if KingSnake actual did a heavy hanging routine.

All the above I fully believe and have seen picture evidence (although Extreme for some reason photo shopped his 2x4 base under the weight). Still, his results were fricken ridiculous.

From these post is why I think StillWantMore came up with his progressive hanging idea but I can’t find anyone posting about gains with progressive hanging.

I guess I am sorta the beta tester for this. With a family I have less time to hang so I compensate by hanging heavy. Usually a 30m session, sometimes 2 if I am lucky. Manual work for a year or so and started hanging at end of April. Main reason I joined and posted here is the desire to brag about hanging 21.25lbs comfortably now (as I type this). Hit 20 over the weekend. I considered that impossible at one point. Also, when I saw 40lbs I’d would say BS but now I believe it can be done. I don’t really buy into any theory other than do the work and don’t be an idiot. Have not measured and don’t really care to but my dick definitely grew. To me, I don’t think it matters how you get there slow or fast, long/short, angles, etc as long as you’re safe but once you get to the higher weights (17 or so for me) is when the magic begins. I have confirmed by seeing other posts to this effect. 10-15lbs was a bitch and would say most guys would give up here, don’t: “do the work”. There’s is probably some science to it, like conditioning has been met or ligs finally stretched enough, don’t know or care. Keep at it safely, add weight, and you will grow. On average I add 1.25lb per week and I hang more comfortably now than ever.

Thanks for the input SuperTurtle. Hopefully more experienced hanging users share their knowledge even these days, as kingscounty said there, the state of hanging didn’t really change since 2009-2010.

He didn’t 45 lbs for more than 1 set a day, he just did this high weight for reaching early fatigue in the first or second set, so that way he could put a stress that let the ligaments fragile to an extent to deform and stretch, remembering that he when was hanging for gains woke up 7 am and did hanging until 4:30 pm, imagine how many sets he did at 17~25 lbs riding his first 45 lbs high weight, this way creating gains.
I think creating gains through high weights depends, for example, me: I just return to hanging sunday this week at 3 kg (6,61 lb) and my max weight when I was hanging 2~3 months ago was 14 kg (30,86 lb) and had zero gains, Bib says that I may have very strong ligaments and that I should have continued upgrading my max weight up to 45 lbs in order for me to have gains. It is very common that guys have weak ligaments because the majority of guys that do BTC hanging and have high LOT and medium to high shaft exit point are the most that can achieve the highest number in length gains through ligaments, Bib is an example of that (so true that he said himself that he saw gains in 2 weeks doing no more than 5 lbs), and if you search here on thunders you know that 80% of guys that hang Bib have gains.
I remember here on the spanish forum reading a fat (almost obese guy) that went from 6,5"~7" BPEL to 9" BPEL in almost 2 years doing no more than 20 lbs max weight, all measured pictures with proof, and that he was doing some cardio to decrease fat. I know that may sound strange and this is just a theory of mine, but I think exercises that end up creating impact in whole body like cardio (jog and running) may somewhat interfere in the ligaments of your penis in a way that in a way that is conducive to or facilitates the delivery of the inner penis to the outside from the impact on the ligaments, I will test this in February because I took some time from the gym and just returned december and I am regaining my body through exercises then I will start the cutting and start doing the cardio in February and I will see how this goes.

Touche’. Hanging is not really technical therefor I don’t see how much it can advance, BUT it works. Everyone wants the fastest, easiest, painfree method to a big dick and hanging is not. Strangely, I think that’s why I took to it. I always had to bust my ass for anything valuable I gained in life.

To EB’s point tho, I agree and it does seem unique, with the exception of only a couple of post (over the entire net where there are multiple agreements and theories for everything), you don’t hear much about heavy hanging or Progressive hanging.
