Doing both SO and SD or BTC in same day

Doing both SO and SD or BTC in same day

I was wondering(couldn’t find it in search)if anyone here has tried both SO and SD or BTC. I mean maybe do 1 or 2 hrs. Of SO then say a couple,or so,hrs. Later an hr. Or 2 of SD or BTC. It seems you would be covering all the bases, sort a speak. Instead of spending months or years doing one angle, finding out it’s not working for you, then starting all over with another angle. Seems it would save time. Would one “cancel” the other one out? Any thoughts on this will be appreciated!! Thanks, JD

I always do all directions on one day. See my thread ‘best way of hanging, some ideas’

Considering doing all angles too. But I want to wait at least a couple more months to see how I do hanging strictly SO. Thanks so much for your reply! JD

Thanks Ticker! Anyone else have thoughts,or experience, with this kind of routine?

I made my best progress focusing on only one angle at a time. No days off unless necessary. I could adjust time per day if I had to, but I tried hard to not skip a day. The purpose of this wasn’t to prevent turtling or retraction. I charted my post-hanging temporary length increase several times. It didn’t shrink quickly. The purpose of not skipping days was to keep the strain on and minimize recovery. If I were to take a few days off I’d require a substantial amount of time to attain the previous level of fatigue. Often a weight increase was necessary. I wanted to minimize the weight required.

If you bounce between angles nothing gets worked as much as if you were to focus on a single angle. At earlier stages in your PE career a scattered approach may work fine. Later, to make continued progress you’ll find more narrowly focusing your effort is the only way to move ahead. Divide and conquer as Bib used to say.

I changed my mind in the meantime. I think you are right.

Stretching at all angles will give the ligs and the tunica too much time to inflame, heal, form scar tissue and become thicker and stronger.

I agree, one angle should be focused on, I am currently doing straight down, sitting and between the cheeks only which is more or less the same angle but less annoying.

The question is how long one should stick to one angle, probably as long as there are gains. But how about lateral angles. Pulling only to the left for weeks or months would produce asymmetry. I corrected mine (it was not very bad) 100% and I don’t want to get back to the left-pointer.

Thanks guys. I guess I’ll continue with my SO routine. Impatience is a bitch!! Is it not?

I vote for the all angles routine each day. Easy when you do a standing SO. Twist the hips and your “over the leg”. Add a fulcrum and the stress is multiplied as well as recentered. I say bust them ligs and let them just try to heal with an ADS afterwards and all day.
