does anyone use the BIB hanger without a wrap?

I am having trouble with wrapping comfortably, with either cloth or theraband. So I tried using the bib hanger directly on my skin and I get a better, more comfortable fit and more pull on my ligs (as opposed to the skin).

Is this a bad idea?

If it works for you then it’s not a bad idea! I believe Boxcar23 doesn’t use a wrap and has had great success.

I just got my BIB Starter and am back into hanging officially as of last night. I “only” wrap with one 15”x1.5” wide strip of Theraband. The fact it sticks slightly to my skin doesnt bug me for some reason. If it bugs you, powder the wrap. I dont get the need to wrap in a spiraling from front to base as illustrated by BIB…I think it’s just a suggestion and what he did and what worked for HIM. I just wrap about 2 inches from the glans, and cover the area of the shaft where the hanger clamps down onto. I personally wouldnt try hanging without wrapping with something first to gather the skin up….thats really the only reason I wrap. I think the hanger has enough built in cushioning to not need to wrap for cushioning. I started right back with 12.5lbs last night too. Wasnt sure how heavy I’d be able to go after many months off. I’ll be back at 15lbs by the weekend and most likely 17.5lbs by next month. Happy hanging!

Thanks guys. An off topic question - is it better to do consecutive hanging sets? (4 [20 minute] sets in 2 hours as opposed to 4 separate sets scattered throughout the day)

It would be better to do consecutive sets. You are pushing for fatigue not time spent hanging. So if you can get the sets in consecutively and get to the fatigued stage, it would be better for you.

Goingdeep is correct, fatigue is your goal - you want to make those micro-tears! If you can achieve that in 2x20 minute sets, great! And if you can hang again later in the day, to keep those micro-tears open while they heal, that may help too. That may be one of the reasons why Bigger’s routine was so successful - he kept the tissue stressed and the micro-tears open over a long period. But be careful not to overdo it - we don’t want those micro-tears turning into macro-tears! :leftie:
