Does anyone hang over 20 minutes?

Does anyone hang over 20 minutes? I wouldn’t mind doing 4 sets a day of 30 minutes or even 25 minutes would be more advantageous in terms of time conservation. Does anyone do this and what are the results? Will my penis really fall off if I do this?

It is all about how much time your body cells can live without oxigen, I read around here that body cells die after 20 minutes without oxigen, that is why the advice is that you shouldn’t hang more than 15 min per set(that is what I do ;) ) . But, if you get a good hanger that allows a good blood flow, you should hang a little longer, always watching that you penis head dont turn purple or cold :D .

If your are familiar with hanging (at least 6 months on it), try 8 sets of 15 minutes, with 5 minutes in between, using a warm cloth/sock rice, or any other warming up device you use.

For some months now I been hanging at 20 pounds, and I normally hang for 20 minute sets, ten off in between, and usually without a problem. Last week, however, at the end of a set I noticed unusually dark coloration in my head. It quickly normalized once I removed the captain’s wench, clamp and wrap. Because of this, I’m thinking of switching to 15 minutes sessions from now on. One thing you really don’t want is to damage the nerves which I guess O2 deprivation could easily cause. I will avoid switching to 15 minute sessions unless I feel I really have to, because it takes a lot of time to unwrap and rewrap between sets, a procedure I think is necessary to restore full circulation after a 20 minute session with 20 pounds.

Hanging over 20 minutes is not recommended. After 20 minutes unwrap and massage the blood back into your penis until you have a semi and than wait a few minutes and than your good to go for another 20 minutes.

I’ve been hanging 10 lbs for 20 minutes. At the end of it, my glands are dark in colour and a different shape. Today the rim of the glands is hard/dry and shedding skin. That can’t be good. Will try for 15 minutes from now on.

Chances are the reason your glans, not glands, are showing trauma is that you’re developing too much blood pressure either from improper wrapping or improper hanger placement. Skin is only elastic to a certain point. Unlike some other tissues once the skin reaches this point it becomes damaged to the point that it will not heal correctly and ends up splitting. Somewhat like a hot dog in a microwave splits at the ends when it swells up. Nasty analogy, I know. It’s possible that your glans is swelling up to a point at which the skin is being damaged from the extra blood pressure. Some people may view this as a bonus. Some are into the “snake head” effect but some aren’t.

Another visual that might help the concept make more sense is to look at pictures of snake bite victims. The venom from snake bites, on arms or legs for instance, causes so much swelling that the skin splits open and will not heal. Infact so much damage is caused that it can cause scar tissue. I’m not an M.D. by any means, but in my opinion scar tissue on the glans can’t be a good thing.

Yeah, and you will get black dots on your penis head that seems they wont go forever (best case scenario), or you will get a full black/purple dick for the rest of your life (yeah, worst case scenario :) ).

Its all about the hanger. If your hanger let you hang for longer times without any discomfort and a good blood flow, go for it. Personally my hanger dont allow me hang more than 20 minutes, because it is a little tight, but secure.

But again,no one here wants to be a guinea pig for this kind of things, and if you want to try longer times, you should try ten 15 minutes sets, with 10 minutes warming up in between. Just my 2 cents ;)

I usually hang for 30 mins at at time with no problems (30 mins on, 10 off, 30 mins on is my usual routine). That said, I am using lighter weights (7.5 lbs at the moment) with a Captain’s wench, so maybe that isn’t enough weight to cause issues.

Well, what about vacuum hangers? Couldn’t they be used for longer hanging sets? I’ve used a vac extender for up to 45 minutes. I wore the extender head attachment with 1 lb for up to four hours, but I didn’t like the head wrinkled up. Two hours with 1 lb was not as bad.

I like vac hanging, currently 2-3 30 min sets at 12”, with 10 minutes recovery (fluid build up in the glans). Circulation is not impaired with vac hangers.

I use a vaccum hanger and I hung up to 3 1hour set in a day. The only problem I got were blisters because I did not take long enough of a break between sets. Now I hang 2X 45min/day with 15 lbs.

I use the BibStarter and hang for at least 2-4 20 minutes sets, sometimes I do that twice a day. I have never had to unwrap/re wrap(except inbetween sessions), nor does the tip of the head or right under the glans get swollen. The tip of the penis head, however, looks sorta like an ice cream cone, in that it is a slight shade darker than the rim of the glans. And I have become a little bit more girthy where the hanger attaches. All this being said, I have never had any problem getting erections as a result of any of this. But I also have never hung for more than 20 minutes per set either. Fatigue for me sets in at about the 5-10 minute mark on the first set, then almost immediately in the following sets. I have been hanging at 20lbs to start, but have also had to reduce in weight many times in following sets. I think one of the main tricks to achieving gains is to try and keep in the extended state after you hang. I try by using Monty’s PEweights, and have been trying a great routine(seems to be so far) for the past week. I have been keeping stats on it, and will post them as an attachment when I measure again.
