CC soreness from the Bib

This forum is a ghost town so this thread is going out to all of you who are still hanging.

Alright, so what this thread is really about. I’m hanging about 7-8 hours a week depending on circumstances. One of the big issues I’m having from hanging is soreness in my CC’s after a workout (at this point it’s more like mild discomfort) and it comes back with a vengeance the next day when I go to re-attach the hanger.

So I’ve been doing a few exercises in the morning when I wake up to alleviate this. I start off with about 2-4 minutes of very light dry jelqing followed by maybe 5-15 minutes of edging going up to about 95% erection level but never ejaculating. I usually do a post workout massage when I hot wrap again and I’m doing my girth work at night so there’s plenty of bloodflow going on.

But the problem still bothers me. Just to clarify it’s uncomfortable but it doesn’t hurt. Longtime hangers, have you experienced this problem as well? How did you alleviate it?

I think some discomfort is expected in the beginning from what I remember. You might need to change your hanger setting up a little and see if that helps. It doesn’t take much and you can feel a difference. Go back to the Bib hanger site and review your settings. It’s about half way down the page. http://www.bibh anger.com/produ … t_guide.htm#Toe

Are you sure it’s your CC’s that are hurting. Where exactly is the pain? Inside the hanger? In front of the hanger? Behind it?

Are you sure the pain isn’t coming from your skin?

I have the Bib Hardcore Starter hanger. At first, I have no pain using it with a standard wrap of Ace self-adhering bandage and a Johnson & Johnson First Aid Hurt Free Wrap.

Than, for some reason, it started to hurt like hell to hang with the Bib hanger. The pain was around the area of the hanger.s.

I could not hang for than 5 minutes and I had to pull it off. So I just hung with my vac-hanger for a while but I never got the fatigue like when I used the Bib hanger.

So I tried a couple of things and it still hurt like a mother bear. So than I tried to double the thickness of the wrap to add more cushion and it seemed to help.

But, I think my problem was the hanger will ride up onto my glans to much and was push on the lip of the glans more then pulling clamping on the inner structure of my penis shaft.

So I set up the hanger further back on my shaft, away from the glans, reducing how much the hanger and wrap ride up on my glans when the weights are applied. The pain mostly went away.

I think my pain was coming pushing on the glans and causing to much stress between the head and shaft tissue and not from the clamping effect of the hanger.

Well, now the pain is almost gone, I can make it through the entire 20 minutes at 20 lbs. Before, I could only do 10 lbs for 5 to 10 minutes.

If you want, I can take some pictures how I wrap and place the hanger and place them in the member section. I took some pictures of my vac- hanger but not to many people were interested in them, so why bother.

Yes, I’m sure. The pain is inside the hanger, in the stretch of flesh along the shaft where I clamp it down. If I massage afterwards, the skin isn’t sore at all. It’s the CC’s and I can feel it a bit when I start massaging my penis that it’s the CC’s that are sore. It’s definitely the squishy flesh around the urethra and not the skin.

The pain occurs most frequently whenever I go to reattach the hanger the day after a workout.

I actually used to wrap with quite a bit of theraband over cotton but now I’m using just enough to wrap the penis once and the soreness has actually gotten a lot better than when I used to use so much wrap. I’m hanging toe out with about 3/16” of a gap between the top and bottom bolts.

I just found this out, and hadn’t noted it before, but the gap at the bottom (near urethra and CC) is supposed to be wider than the gap at the top (dorsal). This may or may not affect your issue.

Good looking out, Buster. I actually have been hanging that way.

I think a lot of my problems with hanging have to do with my circulation; even in wintertime I have to wear briefs because if I don’t, my penis head will get minor frostbite. Yay Vermont.

I’ve just been rotating every third or fourth week for Mem’s Momentous routine (the motherfuckin’ KING of manual routines, IMO) and it helps quite a bit. I’m hoping that in time my ‘tolerance’ for the Bib will increase but if not then what I’m doing now or a variation of it should get me where I’m going. Thanks again.

Can you give me a link, bro?

That sounds closer to the CS than the CCs. The CS surrounds the urethra. Like someone said above, I think the best way to avoid stress on the urethra is to set up the hanger like this /o\ instead of like this \o/ or this |o|.

I’ve tried this too :) It puts way too much stress on my dorsal nerve and I can’t get erections anymore after about 3-4 days (4-6 hours hang time) doing this. I think it really just boils down to having a fragile dick.

In that case, forget about hanging and just go with Mem’s routine. It worked better than hanging for me.

Sounds like your hanger is set right. If you feel pain then that’s your body telling you it doesn’t like something. Maybe you need to stop hanging. Some people can’t do it for one reason or another. Sorry I couldn’t help.

Are you positioned as low as you can comfortably ride in the shaft-well? Insure that the tightening bolt at the top of the hanger does not press into your penis in any way? -at most it should barely touch the top of your wrap. On that note, what sort of wrap are you using? Do you have the hanger even-toed, toed-in or toed-out? Additionally you might be served by asking Bib himself these questions at his forum.

I’ve hung up the hanger (????) and returned to a variation of Mem’s routine. I’m planning to revive his thread soon with some more info on that. I plan to use hanging to get over some ‘tough spots’ and kick start gains when needed though.
