Bib I've got another lig question

O.K. as I’m sure you’re aware, I exclusively hang ots and so now for the time being. When I first picked this new routine, I discovered what I believe to be my main limiting factor. Which is and was the lig inside the shaft, now in these two positions I accomplished something that I was not able to do before. Which was to be sore a little throughout the whole day. But I get the feeling I’m not making any real progress, I’m not getting any increase in flaccid stretch either.

But something that is peculiar to me is that this inner lig seems to be really concentrated on the left side only at the top. Is this unusual or what? For instance while flaccid if I take my thumb nail and gently rub through the skin on the left side I feel the lig fibers, but on the right side I feel none at all. My unit does aim a little to the left, perhaps this is why. Although I’m not sure, I want to say that since hanging ots my unit also aims up a little. I’m telling you this lig feels so tough to me I see no way that weights can stretch this thing out, but then again I’m not the expert.

Please tell me what you think or what I should do. Oh and I’m hanging 14 lbs. 4- 5 sets of 15 minutes.

This is probably the tunica. There are no ligs inside the shaft. The tunica is the tough collagenous retainer which wraps around each of the major chambers.

To me, those two statements run counter to each other. If you are sore, you are making progress. It may be too early to see any returns.

That is odd, but I am sure many guys have a lean to one side or the other. If you meant left side at the top, toward the head, this is probably the tunica. One side thicker than the other. It could be ligs, but I don’t think so.

hehe. If it is the tunica, it is tough. It is supposed to be. That is why it does not happen overnight.

You will probably have to go up in weight some over time. 14 lbs is not bad for SO at your stage, but with OTS, friction loses might reduce this stress more than you think. As long as you are reaching fatigue at that level, stay with it. Also, I hope you are doing the DLD blasters. That could really help OTS. Also, do some pulse stretches DOWN as you attach the hanger and tighten. IOW, get the hanger on about right, do some stretches downward, re-tighten, or adjust the tightness to suit. This opposite direction stretching might loosen things up for your hanging direction.

I don’t know if my reply will help you or not, but it may. I have had some great results stretching the ligs. However, it is the tunica and the top lig bundle that runs down the middle of the shaft on the top that I am fighting.

I think that I have come up with a possible method of attack. I read a post about hanging using a fulcrum method. The guy who posted this described standing up and putting his fingers under the shaft with the Bib starter and weight hanging over his hand. I tried this with my thumbs for about 10 minutes and hanging 17.5 lbs. The strain on the top lig was incredible. The only problem is the fatigue produced by holding it all up with the hands.

I have been working on a steel shaft (about 1/4 inch) attached to a pair of football thigh pads. In the middle of the shaft is a wooden thread spool that rotates on the shaft. The spool is one of the thin varieties. When this rig is complete, I will put the Bib starter on about 3/4 inch behind the head and drape my unit over the spool on the steel rod. I will apply moist heat as usual and hang for the usual time.

I have tried this fulcrum approach twice and each time it hit that top lig hard. I even tried moving my shaft forward and backward on the spool and felt the stress shift. For me, this will affect a 3 inch area along my shaft. I have yet to figure out how to stress the top lig and tunica closer to the glans. I am very wary of messing with this area because of the dorsal nerve bundle that is located there. Anyway, I believe that this is potentially a good technique for stretching the tunica and that dorsal ligament that runs along the top of the shaft.

I thought the ligs run throughout the shaft. I am finding the anatomy portion most confusing!! The ligs connect at the pubic bone and run through the shaft right??? where do the stop??

The tunica is right beneath the skin and surrounds the entire bundle including the three spongy chambers right??

it seems as though fulcrum “A” and “v” stretches might be fine for manual stretching but wouldn’t the added weight put to much pressure on either your urethra or dorsal nerve?? IT seems as though sets would have to be very short……

No. The ligs connect on the OUTSIDE of the tunica at the fascia. The ligs that may be outside the body are between the tunica and skin. I think some guys mistake lig strands for blood vessels when they palpate. Especially when the write about the “tough veins”.

The diagrams I have of the tunica, show the the seperate chambers of the CC covered and seperated by tunica and the CS sheathed in another seperate layer and that its below layers of fascia.

Yes, that is what I meant. I missed the part about “surrounds the entire bundle”. Each chamber has it’s own ‘sheath’.

I have this same lig as jelktoid. It runs just left of the center line on top of the penis about 2/3 rds of the way out to the glans. And it gives me that same leftward hang to my member. Jelqs, manual stretching and now BTC hangs have loosened it up some (I can see it turn into a thin white line when it stretches during hanging). I still get the leftward lean — must be a comment about my politics.

I remember, prior PE, when pressing down with an erection I could see this lig standout to where it actually created a web of skin down at the base. That doesn’t happen now but I still believe that this tough son of a gun is the one I really have to beat to start getting good gains.

I will give the fulcrum hangs a try. This has been a useful thread for a PEr who has seen slow gains so far.

1.) Right…so when my penis is in the flaccid state and I feel a tight cord like mass running through my shaft this is the tunica correct?? To describe better,from the inside out, it feels like an extension cord or latex band which is somewhat ridged and stiff ( I assume this is the tunica, it is pretty tough) surrounded by a gelatinous material similar to the padding in the BIB hanger, then there is my shaft skin.

2.)How can I feel my ligs?? I want to “see” and make sure I’m feeling the right things…without of course cutting my dick open. hehe

3.) One more thing, kind of off topic here, I noticed I have vertical stretch marks at the base off my shaft running from the base down a few inches, then lower I have horizontal stretch marks ( I thought they were wrinkles but on closer inspection I see they ARE stretch marks) did you or anyone else get both??

So Bib or BBS if you were in the beginning stages of attempting to hang for gains, and your tunica was your #1 limiting factor. Which positions would be priority to you? I’m basically following a ots, so, otl, btc type order.

According to the “theories” BIB, myself, and others have “formulated” you appear to be working it in the exact correct order for the best/fastest gains…..I assume you are a low angler??

Hey guys, when following the ots, so, otl, btc type order, are you doing one direction until you no longer fatigue, then move to the next direction and so forth, then start the cycle all over again, or are you doing sets each workout following this directional pattern? If it is as I described first, how long on average do you usually spend on a single direction of resistance?

Its the first way you described hanging how ever many sets, days, weeks, etc. it takes to reach total fatigue or gains diminish then you switch.

Hey Guys,

I have addressed both of you as a result of Stick’s last post regarding hanging in one position until you have thoroughly fatigued the ligs. I have never hung in this manner. I have been hanging BTC, OTS and straight out every day.

Did you hang only in one position throughout the day and then switch positions for another day? Did you mix it up throughout the day? Your feedback would be appreciated.
