Bib Hanger Questions

Bib Hanger Questions

I have felt pretty comfortable wearing the Bib Hanger the first few times I’ve used it, but I was hoping for clarification on a few things.

Firstly, does it matter which way the hanger is pointing, either the teeth with the single tightenting screw or the gap with the two screws facing you?

Secondly, I notice that the underside of my wrap is pinched upwards sometimes when I tighten the hanger. Is this normal or does the hanger need to be adjusted?

Thirdly, I’ve been hanging with a slight toe out setting. As a result, the part of my dick nearer to the base is gripped fairly loosely, especially compared with the area of my dick that is being grasped by the front of the hanger. Is this a desirable effect or should I straighten up the gap to provide for an equal amount of pressure from the hanger throughout?

Lastly, I have been noticing that my head is getting little cold toward the end of my sets. I’ve been trying to make sure that the hanger is fairly tight since I read that most circulation problems are caused by the hanger being too loose and riding up on the head. However, I think I may be tightening it to the point that the hanger is cutting off circulation a bit. I’m worried about loosening it too much however because I don’t want to be in a situation where I’m stretching only skin. My question is this: is there a way to be sure that you have a good hold on the inner parts of your dick or do you basically have to go by feel?

The design is to have the single tightening screw at the top of the hanger on the top of your penis facing you.

Wraps get pinched occasionally. No big deal as long as your penis doesn’t get pinched which you’ll know;) Pinched wraps can be a problem on the soft gel of the Bib and could cause it to pull away from the hard plastic

Thirdly, I've been hanging with a slight toe out setting. As a result, the part of my dick nearer to the base is gripped fairly loosely, especially compared with the area of my dick that is being grasped by the front of the hanger. Is this a desirable effect or should I straighten up the gap to provide for an equal amount of pressure from the hanger throughout?<<
If I read that right, I would call that a toe-in setting. That might be a perspective thing. I grew up around cars where toe-in/out was very important. I view it like a car’s front tires as viewed from the driver’s seat. Toe-in means they’re pointed slightly towards each other as it goes down the road. Anyway, you want the Bib slightly tighter near your base so there’s more pressure on the shaft and less on the head.

A little cool isn’t abnormal. Nothing to worry about. Cold is bad. It’s mostly feel which you’ll get with experience.

Per your first reply, I’ve been hanging with the hanger upside down, so that is probably the reason for the confusion, as well as my having the pressure on the wrong part of my dick.

Thanks for the reply.

Rev,

Are you left handed?

The hanger was designed to tighten the top bolt with your right hand. So the tightening bolt should be on the top of the hanger, right side. tps is correct about the toe-in, toe-out thing. Try many different settings with the hanger, but especially try toe-out.

The pinching wrap sounds as if your wrapped bundle is not solid enough. What are you using for wrap, how much, and can you piss with it on? Also, is your top gap smaller than the bottom gap?

Don’t rush to answer these till you have some experience using it with the hanger on correctly. No worries.

The pinching wrap isn’t an issue anymore, because I was wearing it the wrong way. The tightening screw wasn’t on the left side, it was on the bottom. I was still getting a decent hang but it’s hard to believe that I didn’t figure out the correct way to wear it right away. But to answer your question, I use the exact same wrap as the guy who made the wrapping video, a layer of cloth with a layer of theraband on top. And yes I can piss with it on. I try to make it as tight as possible but its hard to do without three hands. Either way, its not any looser than the wrap that the guy from the video had on.

But I still don’t understand the concept of toe-out and the top gap being either equal or less than the bottom gap. It seems that if you hang with the bottom gap being greater than the top gap, its going to put more pressure on your dick nearer the head, rather than the base. Is tps correct in saying that the base should be gripped tighter by the hanger than the area near the head?

Revolution - Your last paragraph is a bit confusing. Maybe there are two questions there. First, Bib already said I was correct with the toe-in thing.

The toe-in/out settings are different from the top gap/bottom gap settings. The toe-out setting is adjusted by the two screws on the bottom of the hanger. For me, I adjust the screw furthest away from my body further apart than the screw closer to my body. This gives the toe-out configuration \i/ as viewed from the top of the hanger.

For the bottom and top gaps, it’s a matter of how far out you adjust the bottom screws and how tight you then have to tighten the top screw to hold securely. I have mine set like this /o\ basically as viewed from the front.

Both of those diagrams \i/ and /o\ are exaggerated. I’ll attach pictures of how mine looks in a minute.

Ahhh, ok. I did indeed think that the top and bottom gaps determined toe in and toe out stress.

This makes perfect sense to me as far as placing the pressure more near the base. Anyway, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question and post the pictures, they were very helpful. I actually did look at the pictures SS4 posted before I started hanging, and now that I look back at them they explained it perfectly as well. Anyway, thanks again.

tps,

Great job. Tremendous pics also.

Rev,

Let us know how you get along.
