I felt the device was superior to other methods I was trying at the time. Just plug it in and flick a switch every 1 or two minutes for a bit and then the container naturally keeps you warm anyway. When it comes to the heating and convenience, especially when you get some moisture in there, it’s the best.
That said, I do have a heat lamp now after I threw out the device so while I can’t do a side by side comparison it is also very good and convenient. Only, the heat isn’t as localized as I’d like it to be (it gets all over my legs). It also tends to be on one side of my unit (the bottom or top), though the heat does distribute to the rest of it.
Both really have their ups and downs. I do like that with a infrared heat lamp - it’s separate from the pump and I can use it for other applications as well, such as my other PE exercises or even a hand warmer. The beauty of that is that I can leave it out and say if my hands are feeling cold I use it to warm my hands (which I do sometimes). I’m fond of things that are built for one functional purpose but do it well and are modular; not so much a fan of multipurpose devices that may do many things but none of them to well. it’s the same story with clamps. I use those clamps for all sorts of things, including my penis.
From what I remember, the heat is better with the heated pump but the cleanup was going to be a pain but I never got to that stage. The tube though from vacutech was truly an awesome tube.
Ricesocks are a pain and stink. I even tried out husks but they still stunk… going to reheat them all the time was annoying too. Found it to be the same with just about every heating pad I’ve tried.
