Are there any RSDT videos that anyone knows about?

I know there is a lot of discussion regarding this technique but I have tried it numerous times and don’t feel like I’m really getting it right. I have built several fulcrums and definetly feel some stretch beyond what I would normally using either SO or BTC/SD. Perhaps that’s enough? From some guys descriptions it sounds like I should be aching in the tunica afterward whereas I am feeling fatigue but definetly not aching.

Rice Sock Duct Tape (Fulcrum Hanging). RSDT is the way I’ve always seen it written.

Haven’t seen it abbreviated such before.

What some call ache others call fatigue— also, what kind of time under tension and weight are you using?

I’ve found there to be specific tipping points where the fatigue does truly become an ache

I think there are no such videos around, only few pictures.

Use a heated rice sock on top, place over the bend of the fulcrum. Heat helps.

I’m using about 4 pounds and getting a lot of mileage out of that considering I’m hanging 15 pounds BTC. But I’m not aching from it. Perhaps a few more weeks will do the trick. Also I do use heat.

There’s some pictures of it on Bib’s web site, www.bibhanger.com, in the forums. The thread is called “RSDT leveraged fulcrum septum isolation question”. It’s like a big square-shaped rice ball thing. Very non-descript. There’s a few tricks you have to use when making it to get the best double-fulcrum stretch out of it, details are listed in that thread.

I like to think of it as a big long extended V stretch, or wantsmore stretch, only the fulcrum is much better at it. If you build it right, 2 or 3 minutes into the set you should KNOW you built it right.

And on a side note, I’m not sure BTC hanging is the best secondary angle when hanging with an RSDT. You could target the tunica on a more dedicated/efficient basis with the RSDT (hitting the septum) and hanging 30-15% of your sets at a straight angle like SO or OTS (hitting the rest of the tunica).

Why Is Rsdt So Vague Or Such A Mystery. There Are No Videos Or Pics In Rsdt Action. There Is Not One Pic Of An Actual Correct Fulcrum, Or One In Use. I’ve Been On 4 Forums And The Same Questions Remain About The Rsdt.

3. And Those That Have Made Gains With Rsdt Aren’t Really Helping With Visuals.

Not sure why but the computer sometimes does that. I never see it till after the fact or someone says something.

I can take one with my phone if you want. I’m hanging with one right now.

It’s really not that complicated, the descriptions and instructions were sufficient to build mine.

Mine’s about half the size of a football and looks like a rounded rectangle. I’ve added layers and made it bigger over the weeks.

If you can put a lot of rice in a sock so it’s a perfect sphere, then smash it on the table so it’s flat on 2 sides, then begin to tape it off, you’ve got it. It might take a few tries.

It has to be TIGHT, and the side you’re going to hang on can not squish down during the set. It helps to make it more rectangular I think. I added a mousepad to one side of mine then duct taped it off, so the arch on that side is different than the arch on the other. It helps when I can just flip the RSDT over during a session and feel different kinds of fatigue.

I’ve used a 22.5 degree 4” PVC pipe elbow which I padded with some sweatshirt material because it has a V shape to it already and it doesn’t crush.

Way Of Life - that’s a pretty good idea. Is that something you can buy at home depot?

The beauty of the RSDT and fulcrum hanging I think is that instead of just adding weight, you only need to adjust the height/depth of the fulcrum in order to sustain fatigue day to day. It’s about targeting specific tissues (and more specific as you grow) rather than increasing the force on those tissues, because they need very little to budge when you’re targeting a smaller, more specific area. Snapping a toothpick or a tree trunk.. which is easier?

I can still get some fatigue using 2.5 lbs if the shape of the fulcrum is right.

Fulcrum hanging I think is the next wave of PE.. I wish more guys would do it and report their progress so we can all get a better picture of how it works. I hate keeping all these gains to myself!
