Are consecutive hanging sets necessary?

Are consecutive hanging sets necessary?

Is it essential to hang set after set after set for how many ever sets you want to hang for? Big gainers and knowledgable people alike, please respond. Like for example, today I hung 2 sets SD in the morning, and two sets SD at night…Is that detrimental to my PE goals?

Personally, I don’t think it will affect gains whatsoever to spread out sets. Not only does collagen heal slowly, but in the early stages of healing, it is like a gel. Damage to a collagenous tissue takes about 6 - 8 weeks before these initial stages of healing are complete. after which the contractile proteins (such as lactin) are synthesized which make the collagen retract as it is hardening (obviously a great adaptation for repair of such things as a torn ligament). I personally believe that this has much to do with the need to cement gains, but that’s a whole different tangent altogether …

As long as you’re reaching fatigue during both morning and evening sets, this is probably even better than doing the 4 sets consecutively. Fatiguing the ligs & penis as often as possible is great.

What Hellava…I mean Goomba said, only I don’t think anything can beat hanging for long periods of time while fatigued.

I personally think of the spread out sets approach as “bookending” and try to do it whenever I cannot hang as much as I’d like during a day.

I definitely agree with that statement, but being that it takes me like one set to hit fatigue (on my second round of hanging for the day … assuming I reached fatigue during the first sets) if I spread my sets out, I don’t think there will be much if any difference in gains. I’m not the only one like that am I? :confused:

Hmm…I’m on 15 lbs and I have been for like 2 weeks now. It amazes me how quickly my penis adapts. I literally don’t feel any weight when hanging the 15 lbs. Friggin amazing.

I have been hanging a good bit lately, and my length measurement is off. Might be related to the above. I seem extra thick though.
