Anyone mix in manual stretches w/ hanging?

I was thinking of starting a new routine that combined the two.

To me it would make sense to get a good manual stretch in and then throw on the hanger to capitalize on this momentary stretched length.

Anyone do this or think it would be more productive than hanging alone?


Starting size: 7"x5.25" bp

Current size: 7.25"x5.875" bp

Goal size: 8.75"x6" bp

I think the whole point of hanging is to not having to do tedious stretches :)

However your idea could be productive. Perhaps you should try it for a while and come back with results.

Actually it really is a good idea. I have done both together and I like the feeling.Best to break it up into an evening and afternoon sesssions.

I stretch in the shower in the morning and hang in the evening.

Will do, once the summer is over I’m going to draw up a comprehensive routine and add a little stretching before every hanging set.

I got an apartment to myself just so I could do PE next year while at school. Can’t get much more privacy than that. All my friends think I’m nuts but if I gain an inch of EL next year it will be worth it. One nice thing about hanging is that I’ll be able to study while I hang.
