Amount of Weight Increments for hanging

I wanted to know what is the right amount of weight that you should increase by as you progress in hanging.?

I know for regular hanging and vacuum hanging you should start with 5lbs and 20min sets. So should you then move up 0.25lb per week? 0.5lbs/week? 1lbs/week? Or do you wait until you are not feeling any more fatigue and then increase the weight?

I plan to order vacuum hanger as soon as I get the money and I condition myself back from a break in PE.

I think with the vacuum hanger I plan to move up in time before I move up in weight. I want to carefully learn and get adjusted back to vacuum. I used to pump and now know that I used to pump to aggressively. So I will slowly increase the time with 5lbs, maybe over the course of a few weeks, while making sure I still get Positive PI’s. I will do this until I reach a one hour set. Then I will start adding the weight to the one hour set and keep that pattern up. Or do I wait until that hour set no longer creates fatigue and then move up in weight?

But I wanted to know when every time that you guys are going to increase the weight, by how much do you increase the weight? Just barely that the dick hardly feels it like .25lbs or maybe more?

I am basically a complete newbie to hanging, I have only slight experience with the BiB Starter so I don’t know if I will be able or supposed to jump up by 5lbs every time.

Also I’m out shopping for weights for hanging, and this would give me a great idea on how much weights I need to buy or make and in what increments.

My quick 2 cents on increments: I made 125g; 250g; 500g; 1kg and 2kg weights (those bags I mentioned in your other weight thread). I soon trashed the 125g and 2kg and made more 1kg’s out of those. All I need is 2x 250g; 1x 500g and a bunch of 1kg.

Resist any temptation to cut sessions shorter by using higher weights. You need to put in the time, and if you gain by hanging low weights then enoy every bit of that easy ride.

There’s no specific amount you have to start with when hanging. Five pounds may be too much for some guys, especially if you start with a BTC angle.

As far as increasing weights, the last thing you said is the conventional wisdom — wait until you’re no longer getting a good, fatiguing workout before increasing weight.

locoloco, using standard plate weights is easiest. I increased 1.25#/week. So starting at 5# it took 14 weeks to get to my hanging weight of 22.5#. Plate weights come in 1.25, 2.5, 5 and 10#…..quite cheap at Sports Authority or any sports store.

So then I think I will start with the 2.5’s or lower and test everything out. Better safe than sorry right?

The thing with all of us newbies is that all of this talk about plastic deformation, stressing fibers, or “micro-tears in the tunica” kind of makes me think that we have to get those in the beginning and all the time. I think I will go now with only the amount needed to provide some “growth stimulus” to the penis and attain a healthier more powerful dick.

I forgot who it was that said just that. So slow and steady is what I’m going to do. Slow and steady and slowly increase the time of the sets until I’m able to do 1hr sets comfortably, then increase the weight slowly. I think we should all do like Mrconvertable says on this thread Brag: The proof of the pudding -

Take it easy at first.

That is definitely the advise I will be following.
