Hi, to the mods. Please move this to the hanging forum for me since I am unable to create a thread there.

Ok so after I made a device to hang and start hanging - based on Tom Hubbard’s AFB design, I read some of the hanging guides and I realize that my glans (the head) feels a bit cold after about 5-10 mins depending on the temperature of the room (and how flaccid my cock is since I am a grower), and I loosened the grip on my device but when I put it on it would slip off my cock -negating the purpose. My cock doesn’t turn blue or anything like that, just a bit cold.

When the glans get cold and I am feeling some real pain, I take it off and do some light dry jelqs to get it back

Oh, and my other “problem” is that sometimes after hanging, my dick “mushrooms” around the top and takes a while to get rid of. Don’t know what that’s all about.

Anyway, my routine for hanging is 10-15 mins on (depending on how my dick feels), then 10-15 mins off. I do this for about 2 hours a day. I jelq sometimes during the break to get the circulation going.

Question is, am I squeezing my dick too tight? Am I hanging right?

Attached is the picture of the hanger I made.

BTW, I don’t wrap my dick at all because I think it’s a bit troublesome, so instead I wrap the hanger in saran wrap (as you can see) for better grip on my skin.

Sounds like the hanger is not tight enough and it slips some.

Do you mean fluid build up? Jelqing and getting erect helps with that after your session. Sounds like too much tension on the skin and you don’t grab the internals.

How long have you been hanging? Sounds like that maybe you are doing too much too soon. ALWAYS jelq at least couple mins after hanging session to get circulation going on. Do some BTB jelq between the sets and get the blood flowing.

I suggest you to start with 3x 20min sets a day and slowly add sets. Do not add the weight same time.

I can’t see the pic yet but that does not sound right. You need to wrap. You don’t actually need to have grip on your skin. You squeeze your penis like a hot dog to get grip with hanger. I suggest you to read some wrapping topics and learn to wrap. It also makes hanging more comfortable because it’s like padding between the hanger and the penis.

To me it sounds that your problems are:

Not using wrap.

Too much time or weight too soon.

Not getting proper grip with the hanger.

Okay I saw the picture. I think saran would make it too slippery?

That’s the problem. You should wrap, starting from underneath the glans; this way blood is pulld off of your penis. Otherwise, the blood squeezed by the hanger will cause too much pressure in the glans - it is like doing an extreme kind of flaccid jelq.

You can tighten even too much the hanger if you don’t wrap, it could slip anyway, because the blood in the penis will enhance the asymmetric shape of your (as anyone’ else) penis.

So said, it seems you are using cylindrical sticks - replace them with flat sticks, rectangular shape. They will push better on the sides of your penis.

About the coldness, I hope you are wearing the hanger pushing, as said, on the SIDES of your penis (sticks should be perpendicular to your body, not parallel).

Beside that, remember to tighten again the hanger once the weight is attached.

About the mushrooming problem, it seems I am grabbing too close to the base of my penis because when I hang it pulls the skin towards the glans. I do this because it feels really uncomfortable and I can’t get a good grip if I grip directly on my glans.

Is it best to grip it directly under my glans? Thanks.

Also, FYI I am hanging it gripping the sides of my penis.

You should try gripping about 1.5” from the head.

I have no experience with that hanger and it looks like a cheap design. The Captain`s Wench is probably a far better alternative. I don`t have any experience with that one either and I use the Bib. My recommendation would be that you buy that one and go over to Bib`s forums if you are serious about becoming a hanger.

Wrapping properly and attaching the hanger properly will take you time to learn, it is not easy I`m afraid. Skin stretching is normal and to be expected for any new hanger, unless if you hang straight out.

Like mister007 is saying, you should not attach it directly behind the head. That is dangerous.

Also, many newbies make a mistake by having blood in the head as a way to keep the hanger from slipping. That`s not the way to do it.

I find it hard to give any other advice considering that I do not have experience with any other hangers than Bibs.

Definitely worth the money, your torturing yourself with that thing by comparison.

A hanger produced by a former member here who contributed enormously to the science of hanging. It is a great hanger, but it takes time to learn how to use it properly. I have seen a few hangers here who may be just as good, but not having tried them I can`t compare. The Captain`s Wench may be worth looking into.
