Babbis, did your rash-like spot go away?

Yes, was nothing serious, went away in a couple of days.

Now, I think it may be more than that. I’m thinking that ligament fibers extending down the dorsal side of the shaft may actually originate in the abdominal fascia. I guess I’ve read that before (that the fundiform lig springs from the fibers of the linea alba), but I’ve never thought much if it.

Could it be that, by pulling down the fibers from our abs, were actually drawing down tissue to our penises, thereby lengthing them?

Let me put it this way. Have you noticed whether your navel had dropped in lockstep with the increase in your dick length?

Hmmm.

ModestoMan,
The ab soreness was the only “gauge” I used while hanging, I absolutely loved feeling it. For me, when it set in there was never any doubt that I was doing something right. I think it is correct that something is anchored up high in the abs, I never felt much soreness anywhere near the base worth getting excited about while hanging.

I wish I could answer your question regarding the navel, I’ve gained a lot of weight so I don’t think this applies to me. For what it’s worth, I suspect weight gain in the mid section loads these fibers if that makes any sense, I really don’t know how to say it. I suspect with weight loss, the are more “pro-penis” factors that come into play then merely a loss of fat pad that I hear so much about here. I can say for sure I don’t have near the dick I had last July after gaining app. 30 lbs., it can’t be all fat pad related; it just cannot be.

I feel guilty for rambling but your post excited me, feel free to make a new thread if you wish and move this to it. I had a brain toot a while ago when making this thread Simple experiment anyone?, if you can I would like your thoughts.

In the anatomy drawings and dissections I’ve seen, it’s clear that parts of the suspensory/fundiform ligs spring from the abdomen. Their fibers follow the linea alba down from the navel, pass in front of the pubic symphysis, and pass down to the shaft, where they fuse with the tunica.

This makes me think of the penis has having two parts: a first part that originates in the abdomen, and a second part that originates in the pelvis. The first part includes the fibers from the linea alba and forms the dorsal surface of the penis. The second part includes the erectile bodies, which anchor in the pelvis.

Lengthening a penis may involve paying some attention to both parts. Downward stretching may do a particularly good job hitting the abdominally sourced, dorsal fibers, whereas upward stretching may do a better job targetting the pelvically source structures. The pelvically sourced structures probably also respond well to jelqing, whereas the dorsally sourced fibers may not.

There, I was trying to make the point that people don’t gain much (if anything) by stretching their ligs, since the geometry predicts that merely loosening the ligament absent any shaft growth won’t add any length at any angle above 9 o’clock or so.

Here, I’m thinking something different, that stretching the ligs may in fact be the same thing as stretching the penis, since the lig fibers fuse into the tunica.

To lengthen a penis, you have to stretch those dorsal fibers, which are perhaps most efficiently stretched at downward angles. You also have to stretch/enlarge the erectile bodies, which attach in the pelvis.

I knew I was in for a short night’s sleep last night, so I took a calculated chance. I slept with my ADS !!!!

I feel that that’s a horrible confession, and I don’t encourage anybody to do the same.

I did this because 1) my all day experiment was such a success and 2) I had logged enough time with the hanger to subjectively feel safe with it on.

For this all-night session, I cut my normal tension in half, using only 1 snubber instead of my usual 2. I used the ADS in a “down” configuration, strapped under my knee.

I had no problems whatsoever. Occasionally I felt a slight erection coming, but, perhaps due to the position, it never fully materialized. I woke up at my usual time with complete comfort. I actually couldn’t even feel the ADS until I reached down and touched it.

I quickly removed the hanger upon awakening to find my penis in perfect condition. There was no puffiness (thanks to the reduction in force), and no funny color. Everything was normal. The hanger wasn’t off for 10 seconds when I popped some major morning wood. All systems go.

Don’t try this at home, at least not until you are fully confident in your own setup. I will continue to proceed with caution.

I hope I don’t get kicked out of the safety club.

It sounds “safe” enough, but if you can’t get erections with it on at night, I can’t see why you’d want to use it then. Don’t you think our nighttime erections probably play a role in maintaining penile health? I suppose maybe you could make up for the missed nighttime erections with very extended daytime sex or edging sessions?

Possibly. This is a risk. But I think I’ll see some warning signs if penile health starts to decline. At that point, I can make adjustments.

At least that’s what I’m telling myself now.

As for why I’d want to do this, it’s because I currently think that continuous tension at certain times during a training regimen may be more important for securing gains than occasional erections.

If you insist on this, consider attaching the bungee to a sling over your shoulders, and pull upwards. It will be a little more uncomfortable but erection upwards should be better than downwards.

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

Congrats on the process, but I agree with mgus on this point very much.

Couple that with the established theory that our bodies repair themselves while we sleep…

As far as “Favorite Members of Thundersplace” go, ModestoMan is easily in my top five.

"Debate the idea..."

Hi Guys. I’m back from vacation.

I’ve continued to wear my ADS to bed every night since my first report here. I had a slight problem one night, in which I woke at about 3AM and had a funny feeling in my glans. It wasn’t pain, just slight discomfort. I could have easily ignored it and gone back to sleep, but I decided to err on the side of safety and removed my ADS for the remainder of the night.

Other than that, I had no problems whatsoever. On the second night, I increased the tension from one snubber to two. This took me back to the same level of tension I used during my all-day experiment.

Of the six or so nights I did this, I found that I had slight fluid buildup only two nights. I’m discovering that I am having night time erections, and this is a bit distracting. I can feel my shaft pushing against the inside of the glans cap. So far, however, this has not been a problem. There’s been no pain or real discomfort, and morning wood is quick to appear once the ADS is off.

I’ll think about attaching the ADS in an upward pointing direction. This might be a little harder to hide, and it also might make sleeping on my stomach a bit harder.

On a down note, if not a bit off topic, I still am not seeing any gains. I am fairly stuck at 7.75 to 7.9” BPFSL, now one week onto the “macro-R” phase of Xeno’s IPR protocol. I’ll give the program a couple of more weeks before I think about changing anything.

Goon, I think you’re right about the benefits of nighttime healing. Again (DISCLAIMER), I’m not suggesting anybody else do this. I’ve come to feel that my setup is very safe for this kind of thing. Your mileage may vary.

Have you measured your BPEL ModestoMan? No gains there either?

None as of a week ago. I’ll try to measure again soon. When I measured last week, I could barely eek out 7.25”, which is a full 1/4” shy of my pre-IPR max (my best measurement before the 2 month decon break preceeding IPR).

I am sorry to hear that. Correct me if I have misinterpreted, but are you saying that you have actually lost BPEL from the time you started the IPR-protocol until now? If it is not to much to ask, can you post your complete routine if you have not already?
