AFB hanger question.
So I’m looking to construct an AFB hanger and the question I have pertains to dimensions of the two primary pieces of the sides.
I’m wondering if wider sides that have a larger contact surface area benefit the hanger’s ability to better grip the shaft and possibly aid in being able to hang more comfortably for longer periods of time and/or handle more weight comfortably?
Or would the larger area being gripped not receive the benefit of the “stretch”?
Does a wider side have any benefit or drawback?
And also would using a material such as cork adhered to the contact surface area aid given that it has some degree of ability to give & possibly better conform to the contour of the shaft?
Figured I’d ask in case anyone has already tried these ideas.
