Hey Guys - Been hanging for a long time with ups and downs. In the last year or so, I’ve gone up to 20 lbs on my AFB. I’ve hung this weight.,.,., I don’t know,.,.,.,50 times maybe. Never had any real problems. Some bumps and bruises here and there but nothing serious. Recently, however, maybe the last 4 or 5 times I’ve tried haning, I’m getting MASSIVE capillary destruction (at least I think thats what these red dots are). When I unwrap, all of skin around my circ scar, especially underneath, is covered in red dots. I’m talking 100’s of them. So some questions

1) Does anyone know if capillary damage results in more frequent damage. Meaning, should I take a few solid months off to completely heal
2) I can usually get back to normal (visually) but jelqing and/or pumping. I’m gussing I’m just moving the blood out
3) What would cause this to start all of a sudden. The only thing I can think of is that I’m probablly not 100% as healthy as I could/have been. Maybe drinking 2-3 days a month, exercise 2-4 days week. Diet is all over the board. Definitely not horrible (no fast food or anything) but probably too much carbs/wheat/gluten

My wrap is like this

- 12-15 inches of cotton t-shirt material 1/2” wide
- 1 strip of yoga mat material 6” long x 1” wide (yoga mat material is approx 1/8” thick). I use this for extra padding and girth to tighten the hanger on
- Then I use 12” x 2”of very very thin compression wrap to tie it all together
- Finally, I use a 6” x 2” piece of latex (similar to a ballon type material) to help with hnger friction.

I get no slippage and have good circulation. I think the pressure of my skin bunching behind the head with the 20lbs pull is the problem. But again, I have never had probs with this weight in the past.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I don tknow. I’ve never had problems. With AFB, I never understood the whole “internal grasp” I don’t think its real. With all hanging, we basically bunch up so much skin infront of the hanger that it doesnt fall off.

Removing the yoga mat has really helped a ton. I’m not getting the red dots, though I think thats more of a product of being healthier, heating longer, and working up to weight slower.

Also, I’ve been using the same cotton wraps for a long ass time. I just created some new ones and that has helped a ton to. I had been getting a lot of pinching the last few months. Switching to new wraps really helped today/

Today was one of my most comfortable sessions with 20lbs hanging That I have had.

I’ve been having this same ‘problem’ with the bib hanger for forever! Everyone keeps telling me you’re not suppose to rest the weight on the skin and glans, but grasping internals just doesn’t happen if you’re flaccid. Have you made any gains with the skin shoulder hanging?

You have too much blood in your penis when applying the hanger. Probably there is something wrong in the way you wrap also.

I am not familiar with the AFB but with a Bib hanger it is absolutely grabbing my internals. From when I first got the hanger I was never afraid to keep on tightening it. Even when the hanger felt like it was secure I would still see if I could tighten it some more. I don’t have that big bunch of skin in front of the hanger and I squeeze every bit of blood that I can out of the glans and shaft in front of the hanger. So it isn’t a blood plug or anything like that holding the hanger.

However, I am unsure with the operation of the AFB so it might not do it the same way.

I don’t even know what grab internals means. I don’t see how anyone could hang without the weight pressing on the bunched up skin. Every picture of hanging I’ve seen and everything that I have read indicates that you have weight forcing blood to the head. If we didnt, then we wouldn’t need a 20 min time limit. We would talk about dark or cold glands. I will say though, that after all this time, I just realized the the simpler the wrap the better.

For me I do everything I can to pull back the skin and try to prevent any skin in front of the hanger. There was a couple weeks that I neglected this and I ended up stretching out a lot of skin on my shaft. I am sure there is some bunching up of skin. However, it is very different than some of the pictures that I see.

I am sure blood gets trapped in the head because you can’t remove all blood. I do my best to squeeze head and shaft in front of hanger and try to remove all blood out that I can.
I do this squeezing the entire time I am tightening the hanger. I have never had any problems with dots or feeling that internal pressure in the head. Even though there is going to be some blood in head it is different than people who attempt to hang using a blood plug.

That extra pressure causes red dots, slight tears in the skin where you urinate. I have read that on Bib’s sight people that have blood when urinating. Surprise surprise they used a blood plug to help hold the hanger. This blood is usually from a slight tear right at the opening where they urinate.

This is from Bib’s site just today. Of course this is in regards to one of his hangers. I hope this isn’t a problem posting this. It is what he said and I am attributing this quote to him. Moderator’s if I am wrong in posting this I am sorry and please remove it.

“Having excess blood in the head and shaft is NOT the answer to holding the hanger. This will only cause more and greater problems, as you move up in weight. Learning to get the hanger to grasp the internals is how guys can hang 20-30 lbs.

Be sure you are tightening slowly, allowing time for the tissues to meld into the hanger. Tighten a good bit, then wait a minute, holding forward pressure on the hanger. Then tighten more. It should be easier. Repeat as much as needed.

The first set will be the hardest to tighten properly. This is because collagenous matrix fluid has not been squeezed out yet by the stretch. So the first set will take more time for tightening. After that, it will be easier to tighten, and take less time.

It should NEVER take much torque to tighten the top wing nut. If it does, you have not allowed enough time for the hanger to grasp.

Further, be sure you are using Vaseline, or a light oil, on the top bolt threads, washer, and wing nut, to reduce friction.

The internals are the tunica, fascia, and the interior smooth muscle of the three chambers. With enough lateral compression force, they will hold the hanger nicely.”
