I’ve been using the bib hanger now for about 6 months, and just accpeted the constant head bruising I’ve suffered from almost day one, just to get the gains I feel I’ve gotten. Now, however, I’m taking a a week or two off, just for the bruising to go away (recondition a bit). The bruising is very slow to go away (week and a half so far), and I’m afraid it may never (which would suck).

I really want to keep hanging and feel that it could really be productive for the long haul, but am thinking that the bib may have to go, as of now.

I’d like to know what people think would be the better devices for me to buy to lessen the damage to my member that I’m getting with the bib. I maybe should have bought the starter, but pride got me to buy the bigger hanger… Now though it would have to be something different like the capt/s wench etc. Not another bib. (starter), though I think it’s a good device.

Any advice? I want the best results, with the gentlest device on my privates.


Need some answers before I think anyone can give you “good” advise.

You say your using the reg. Bib. What size are you now?

What is the amount of weight you are using and at what angles?

What are you using for wrap? Single or double wrap?

Where are you attaching the hanger and what are the adjustments?

All these things can affect bruising.

1. I’m about 6(BP)x5.

2. I’m using about 12.5 pounds right now SD.

3. I use an old t-shirt, plus theraband wrap(?) whatever I ordered with it. I guess only single wrap… of each.

4. (a)I’m now trying to attach the hanger closest to my base, to keep from sliding onto my head too much. (b)I tighten it about as much as it can go.

These last two things (4a and b) I do actually to try to stop the bruising, but it has not gone away, at least while I was still hanging.

I experienced the same problem, in my search I built a vacuum hanger with the help of this thread.

To minimize the fluid build up use I use ceran wrap (spelling ?) and a rubber sleeve.

What I do is cut a little square of the ceran wrap and wrap my head in it, than I put the rubber sleeve on top of that sliding it down just under the glands and over the ceran wrap that is covering the glands. I cut off the excessive ceran wrap and just attach the device. I have had rather comfortable hanging session at about 12pounds as the ceran wrap limits the expansion of the head and the rubber sleeve protects the foreskin.

I am still learning and optimizing this, sometimes the vacuum dosen’t seal properly, or the rubber sleeve doesn’t stay in place; but when this works it works very well and is worth the hassle.

From reading your description, it sounds like you’re either leaving too much blood in the head to start with or you’re not getting the hanger tight enough. Most likely the latter. Bib hangers are like women, they work best when they are nice and tight.

Once I (hopefully) get the bruising to go away, I will try to both tighten, and squeeze out the blood, as well as keep it closer to the base.

My thread cold/dark head is pretty much the same. I had this happen to me. Alot of guys will say your doing something wrong, and there probley right but I tried loose wrap tight wrap more wrap less wrap tighter hanger. None of it worked I will say attach the hanger as far up as you can so that the hanger at least starts as far away from your head as possible and the skin slides down protecting your head as much as it can. When I tighten the hanger to much it hurts and pain is bad. Go slowly on weight your dick really does get use to more and more weight. And most importantly for me is I HAVE TO take the wrap off after every set and work up a erection and do some manual clamps and light jelqing. Not everyone does this but I think some guys are just different. Plus my head size is diffently on the big size. I would guess your head size is on the big size to. Maybe I”m wrong. Plus my sets are 15-18mins never ever 20min and a at least a 15 min in between sets. This is for me the only way I can hang without the dark head. Never be afraid to cut short a set or if you put the weight on and something just doesn’t feel right take the hanger off and readjust. I’m just glad my length is good already 7.25 x 5 and I won’t have to hang for more then I year or so. Cause its probley the least enjoyable PE exercise there is. Holly crap I ramble.

I agree with you about taking it off if it does not feel right and also NEVER doing the full 20 minutes.

I still would also like to hear from anyone using a different hanger and whether or not it has worked better for them than the BIB has for me, in regards to bruising.

I have never used the bib so I don’t have any comments on it.I use the capn’s wench and it is a fine device .I had some pain while learning to wrap,how tight to make it etc.Once I got that all figured out,it’s been a breeze to hang with.Most guys will tell you that if your feeling pain,your not wrapped tight enough or your hanger isn’t tight enough.The only time I experience any pain when hanging is if I’m wrapped TOO tight or if my cable clamp is TOO tight.So if tightening things up has not helped your situation,try working in the reverse.Loosen your wrap a bit ,or back the tension on your hanger back a spec and see what comes of it.Once you get everything right,hanging gets so you don’t hardly know your doing it.It becomes that easy!

I need to get rid of the bruising and try it that way.
