Hey guys—I’m one of the many who made encouraging initial gains, but found that after about a half year, things stalled, and, months after that, even went into reverse (I lost about a quarter inch from my best measurement). My routine at this point was to hang 15lbs at 5/6 sets, 20 minutes per, with 10 minute breaks with heat, 5 days a week. But after I took the measurement in which I’d actually lost length, I decided to re-evaluate. I read many posts here and decided I was “overtraining.” So I took a week off, and then drastically reduced my routine. This was about a month and a half ago. I decided to hang just 8lbs, at three sets, 15 minutes per, with 10 minute heat breaks in between; I did this just three days a week—Sunday, Tues, Thurs. The results so far have been great: not only have I gained back the quarter inch, but I’ve gained a little under that as well.

So why am I posting? Well, just recently, my schlong has been turtling a bit—not drastically, as it did during my more “extreme” hanging days, but enough for me to notice. In fact, throughout nearly all of the month and a half of my new, lighter routine my flacid dick was hanging full and fat, and needless to say I was pretty psyched. And so this new turtling sensation has got me concerned. I’m wondering if I’m starting again to enter an “overtraining phase,” which considering how light my routine is would seem kind of puzzling. I know we’re all different and our bodies respond differently, etc., but I’m confused. The reigning orthodoxy here, based on the amazing results of folks like Bigger, is essentially to overwhelm the cock—ever increasing weight for ever increasing time commitments. But Shiver, in an interesting post about a year ago, proposed an opposite theory: rather than overwhelming the cock, try to coax it (essentially)—meaning, much lighter routines.

So, have any big gainers experienced anything I’ve mentioned here? I’d like to know if anyone has drastically reduced their routine and made significant gains over a longish term. I’m even thinking of trying to hang every third day—anyone doing that with good results? If anyone has any thoughts/advice about any of this, I’m all ears.

Hey, Xeno—thanks! You know, I haven’t read up on LOT yet, so I’ll have to get back to you on that. But I do hang BTC.

Don’t worry about it holmesy. I was just curious if you were working on lig sourced gains or not. Sounds like you are.

I find your results very interesting. Conventional wisdom around here has been that ligs heal fast, and that if one doesn’t keep breaking crenelations by hanging frequently (like every day), then lig strengthening, not lig stretching occurs. I’ve considered doing a hanging routine like yours several times but fear of lig strengthening always kept me from trying it. Very interesting indeed. I’ll look forward to what other guys’ comments are. I really don’t know what to say about the every third day thing…except that if you do do it, please report your findings.
