A quick question about hanging


I don’t mean to thread hijack here, but I came upon this thread and since I do manual stretching and then jelqing, what would you guys say about this compared to hanging then jelqing? I jelq for a short period of time 5-10 mins about 20-30 of stretching so it’s not really a cemented exercise in my routine, but as we all know, hanging and stretching have the same principles.

I would say since I don’t have to worry about a hanger, that perhaps it would not affect me much?

You are testing our knowledge :) it seems like you already know the answer.

The consensus is to hang for 1-2 hours a day (pure hanging time). I doubt you will be able comfortably to do more, especially in the beginning.

I try to pick a weight to get me to a fatigue within the first hour (4 sets) and then ride it, lowering the weight, until I reach half the initial weight during the next hour.
