Have you tried any other methods of PE? I’m not taking anything away from extending because gains are gains. And frankly, depending on lifestyle extending just works better in some ways. I’m just curious if there is something in particular about extending that makes you feel that way. Because I feel that way about PE in general, and hanging definitely gives me a more satisfying feeling of progress.

I haven’t tried anything else except for manual stretches. For one, I’m only interested in length gains now. The only time I’ll work on girth (as in jelq) is when I want to add more scaffolding for the added length that I want.

The other reason I’ve kept it to the extender is because I’m married and my wife doesn’t know about PE. So I figure this is probably the most useful in terms of stealthiness. If I lived alone, I’d probably complement my extending routine with hanging. So instead, I use the extender until everything feels nice and tender, and then move on to manual stretches. Really feels like a good pairing.

I’ve noticed recently that a marker of a good manual stretch is when I feel the skin around my groin stretch in new ways when I’m pulling in a certain direction. I assume it’s telling me that my insides have gained some and now brand new tension is being placed on the skin that was previously inaccessible.

Last thing about extenders is it doesn’t have to be slow if it’s accompanied by manual stretches, consistency, and mindfulness.

After reading a number of posts in this thread these are the things that stick out most:
*Higher tension provides a good stretch
*Lower tension used to keep penis extended for “healing”
*Stealth and other type of items can be used for keeping penis extended. I’ve found that the 6” silicone sleeve does this very nicely after a stretching routine. It allows for pain-free urination.

Here is how I use the PM device for both high tension and low tension.

High tension: I wrap the complete glans and circ scar area with either the silicone strap or with a 10”x2” piece of exercise band. The secret is to wrap tightly so no edema of the glans or scar area will occur. Using a rice sock type heating device, I heat things up for 5-10 minutes until entire penis feels warm. Then I use a velcro strap to very tightly secure the PM tray to the penis. While sitting, start stretching straight up. I keep the rice sock touching the penis right where the ligaments connect. As things stretch, the penis will slowly start to angle down away from the belly and point towards the knees, keeping the rice sock on the penis the entire time. When it reaches fully down position, I leave it there for at least 10 minutes. As more slack in the device is present, I move the PM back to upwards position and increase back to full tension. Put the rice sock back and repeat the process. Usually after the second time it points to my knees, I’ll re-tighten the velcro. Then one more tightening and sock should get the full .750” extension of the PM and I’m ready to add more rods.

I’ll screw the rods back down to the starting point and add .750” extensions which brings things back to where it just was. Re-heat the rice sock if needed and go again. Sometimes, I may use the weight of the rice sock to help move from straight up to pointing down. I would not recommend this for beginners because this can cause injury. My typical sessions last about 2-3 hours and I typically get just over 1.5” of rod extension. However, much of that stretch is just forcing the PM base into my fat pad. Sometimes I’ll measure and go from just over 9” BPFSL before the session to 10” BPFSL after the session. Most days it only gets to 9.5” but I have hit 10” on a number of occasions.

For low tension stretching I’ll use a 2” long silicone sleeve just behind the glans instead of the band. I’ll still use the velcro strap and only extend out the bars about halfway, never adding any bars from the starting point. With the silicone pads, since they are thicker and spongier than the bands, I’ll re-tighten a couple times to make sure that there is no slippage.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing is that there should be NO PAIN. If there is pain, you’re pushing too hard. Nothing wrong with feeling a good stretch though.

Thanks for the detailed description of your extending process grx! That’s quite an intense workout you have going. I mean 1.5” extension within a session is nothing short of amazing. Plus, I’d never considered adding a rod during a set…something I’ll be sure to keep in my back pocket.

I tend to get anywhere from 1/4” to 1/2” extension during my 1 hour sessions max. But I also think that’s also because I tend to want to add rods relatively quickly and therefore start my sets at high tension / full down direction. Though I add my rods between sets as opposed to within sets, like you described.

I’m curious to know if you attribute any gains to your extender routine? I looked up your profile and your stats obviously speak for themselves, but I wasn’t able to find previous measurements. I guess what I’m most interested in knowing is how much your extender total rod length has changed since you started using the PM. As that would offer a good estimate of the change in your BPFSL (which by the way is what I measure).

Every 6-12 months I add. 750” to the rod starting length depending on how much time I’ve been able to put in during that timeframe.

I started around 8” and have gained about an inch or so in length over the past 30 years using various methods. I found that using the PM first to get some heated stretch followed by other manual exercises followed by low tension give me the best PIs.

At this rate you’ll have to put the extender on a wheelbarrow in a few years just to get around.

I agree with your sentiments about working with the extender before doing manuals. Like I’ve mentioned before, I get my best stretches after a good extending set.

One more question for you, what level of tension are you on when you first strap in? As in, how many lines are visible on the side gauge thing? I ask because I’d like to know more about some of the other details that allow you to get up to a 1.5” extension on a given set.

I always warm up before strapping in. I’ll do some manual stretches as well. When I put on the PM, It is typically almost at full tension in the up position. The first half hour or so is working the base down past my fat pad. By the time I add the .750” rods, I have worked the base to BP.

grx got me to thinking about what an extender would look like at 10”. So I whipped out the ruler and took a look. Do you guys know how huge 10” is? Inches are long.

Yeah, 10” NBPEL is my next goal. Based on your post, I whipped out the ruler and took a picture in the extender… only got to 9”. You’ll have to wait some time before I can show 10” in the extender. lol

With all due respect, there’s nothing “only” about 9. 10’s good too. But at range, the difference is negligible. Your ruler is in good hands.

Is the 4x mentioned in this thread in reference to the vac extender 4x? I thought that was meant to be a more comfortable one you could wear for hours at a time?

JPLondon, glad to have you on board. The X4 is a traditional strap/noose type extender. I think what you’re referring to is the Autoextender vacuum based model. I can’t speak for that one specifically, but I tend to shy away from the vacuum type extenders because I don’t like not seeing what’s happening to my glans when I’m doing my routine (especially at high tensions).

I do have the Penismaser Pro, which is another type of vacuum based extender and it’s more comfortable than the X4. But the Penimaster is sitting in a box while I write this strapped into my X4.

Thanks for the info on that. I think I’ll take my chances on the vacuum when I get one to begin with. I’ve tried hanging, but it’s not feasible for me to keep to changing and fiddling every 20 minutes and only half being able to focus on work.

I thought with an extender, I wouldn’t have that problem, but I don’t want to be fiddling about rearranging every hour or so either if I don’t have to.

I’ll be looking to make a purchase soon on one, and combining that with HGF or IGF of some sort. I want to see if the increased healing and cell proliferation of those substances in tandem with a tool that increases cell division will be a nice combo to speed gains up.

Of all the theories I’ve seen over the years, apart from the fool’s gold promise of Dr Adam’s chemical PE nonsense, it’s the one that makes most sense to me.

I’ll make regular entries into this thread when I do start up, hopefully soon.

Can you please share a favorite of you HGF or IGF articles here? I’d like to learn more about it.

I love it when I put the extender on and it just feels right. The glans is big enough to keep everything snug. But not too big to cause edema. The penis feels pliable so it can take more extension from the outset without discomfort or pain. Ah…this is the good life. I’m glad I didn’t masturbate instead.
