Manual stretching vs extending. What are the pros and cons for both?

You should be doing both in my opinion. Extenders are one of the only devices you can wear relatively discreetly. Personally I wear my extender for a couple of hours before I do any manual work. Sometimes even after.

I make 2weeks in 3 days. My hours have been irregular but I’ve had a 3hr minimum for each day. Some says I’ve managed 5-6 tho. Average would be 4hrs. Is it too soon to measure at 2weeks? Should I hold off on that?

Extenders allow you to get more time under tension with less of a hassle. So your hands can be free to do chores around the house or take a nap laying on your back. Stretches are better than nothing and a way to get time in while your sitting on the toilet. Stretches are less convenient because your hands won’t be free. Getting four hours of stretches in won’t be happening. But you can get four hours of extender and be watching TV, do chores, study, read even take a nap. That’s the advantage to extending.

I agree for safety this is unsafe advice. I cheat it with an alarm set at one hour.

Which can we say produces results sooner?

The main difference its time convenience. At this stage of my life is impossible for me to wear an extender 5-8 hours a day. With stretching you can gain with a 30 mins a day routine.

Manual stretching gives faster gains thats a fact. But from what we know it seems that the extender works almost for everyone, its the safest method to gain length. Manual stretching doesnt seems to work for everyone(maybe its a technique issue).

Same here, not possible to wear an extender, wish I could. But there are several innovative and handy manual stretches like the 2 way stretch , piss pulls, fowfers. I guess if these are well incorporated one can gain length from a hands only routine.

You can make really big gains with manuals. Piss pulls and fowfers helps but they are not make that big of a difference. Simple stretches will give the most gains.

I believe that most people apply a lot of force with manual stretching. The sweetspot is to apply a good force (not high) for some minutes.

With manual stretching the force is higher so microtears are created faster than using an extender, so manual stretching gives faster gains. Although this approach require rest days because the more force you apply the more microtears are created and then you need rest. Thats why manual stretching if its not done right it can be counter-prodactive in the long run.
