Extender question

Extender question

It has been a while since I came around here, but this time around I decided to get an extender. I purchased one from the LeLuv store from the advice of another on here, but I noticed that the extender there doesn’t have tension marks on the rod, and the spring doesn’t retract like the others do.

So, the manual that came with it pretty much sucks. Says I should start with these certain rods, and then keep extending out until I feel a slight discomfort. Well I dont feel any at all, and it seems my flaccid can stretch beyond what the first rods extend too. I looked around and some said that you should take all your rods and have the length of each rod to be around what your erect length (no mention if its nbp or bp though..) is, and then use that as a starting point. Doing it this way I actually have to pull a bit on my penis to get it through the strap, but it is manageable.

The thing that has me posting this thread is that pretty much every post I read on here regarding extenders have people saying they felt pain after a half an hour and such for the first couple weeks. I’m not feeling any pain at all, and if I extend further that just ends up having my penis get pretty cold (some coldness is ok from what I understand) and numb before I even reach the point of this “pain” that others mention after doing it for half an hour or so. Since I don’t have tension marks, I can’t really follow the method that others have either.

Am I suppose to be feeling some pain or discomfort? Everyone else seems to have this at first but me. My “discomfort” doesn’t really feel like it is there…like it doesnt feel like it is stretched out. I would extend even further, but then I get numb pretty quick. What to do?

Some of the comments I’ve read recently (9_in_richard has posted a few) say that most people try to overextend the extender to start with and therefore experience discomfort and other problems. The people I’ve read who have gained, say that a slightly stretched, yet comfortable setting is the key.

I made my own extender and stretch until it hurts.

I sit in a hot bath while I stretch and the pain subsides after a few minutes allowing me to stretch a little more.

Now, before you suggest I`m being irresponsible about the pain thingy, I will say that everyone`s pain threshold is different and what is painful to some is nothing to another, so be careful at first and ease into the stretches.

I gained a whole inch of length using my stretcher in about 8 months and then took a de-con break and I`m back to stretching now after about two months off, and while I haven`t seen new growth yet I will keep stretching for until mid-summer or so and see where I`m at then.

Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

How did you make it?

Thanks. But that’s looks to hard to do. I’m not handy at all so I’ll stick with buying one. Hopefully I’ll get the same or better results.

I use an 4X Deluxe ($245) to which I have added a VacExtender modification kit ($89). It is a very comfortable setup, much more comfortable than the standard cradle with Velcro strap modification, and I am extremely pleased with it. However, it appears you can get a similar setup with the VacExtender KR basic kit for $139 at AutoExtender. If you are considering buying an extender, I would recommend you look into this product.

Good to see your please with the x4. If you don’t mind how much did you gain with the x4

Continuing with my opening post, I was curious about how we know when to proceed further? Do I just turn the rods a bit more each passing day or weekly? So far I have mostly just been going by if I have coldness/numbness. For example, I’ll start out at a certain length and continue at that length until I find that reaching the hour point doesn’t result in it being slightly cold or numb so much anymore. Then I turn the rods maybe ~1/4” further out and repeat. If I get numbness or coldness quickly within 15 minutes I scale back a little bit. This the way I should be going about it?

My other question pertains to the stretch itself. Should I be stretching it to the point where if I take a finger and place it between the gap of penis and one of the rods, and then try lightly pushing my penis towards the other side, so that it doesn’t budge much, or should it have some flexibility that it can move quite a bit?

I noticed on another forum something about having a “head swell”. Does anyone here do that? I find that the strap doesn’t keep the head full of blood when I do it because I usually leave a small gap on the underside so blood can keep going through, or maybe I should have the gap gone completely?

Personally, I think the question about the point I should be stretching it too is the one that I am most curious about. Because I don’t know if the stretch should be tight that I can’t push the penis from the side much, or if it should be a bit flexible that I can push it a little bit from the side.

My X4 has grooves on the base rod which are used to measure tension. It is recommended that you should start at 600 gr of tension. When the third groove is just showing, you are at 600 gr. When just two grooves are showing, you are at 900 gr., etc. Anyway, when I am at 600 gr, I can usually go for an hour or more before my glans gets cold and/or numb. This is the point where you should be during the first three months of use. I have read that you can calibrate and mark your extender with a digital scale, but unfortunately, I don’t know where you can get such a scale. I don’t do any measuring while in the extender to determine the correct tension. Instead, I measure tension using the grooves or by feel if there are no grooves.

When you are at the point where you can remain in the extender for an hour before the coldness/numbness begins to take effect, this is where you should be (about 600 gr). After the first hour you can slowly screw out the rods slightly (I use 5 half turns) every five minutes until it becomes too uncomfortable to remain or your head slips out. Hope this helps until someone using your type of extender can offer a better suggestion.

Head swell is what you should try to achieve before strapping into the cradle to help prevent the head from slipping out. Jelqing and Ulis are how some achieve head swell. I used a short pumping session. I never noticed a gap under the head. I just tighten the strap (I used a Velcro strap) until it feels very snug.

I gained 1/2 inch of EL after eight months of extending. My stretched length in the extender, however, is up 1.5 inches. I hope this is a positive portent for future EL growth.

This link has manuals to some popular extenders.

With LeLuv extender there are no tension lines which is ghetto. However you can kinda of guess it. When the extender is not compressed at all, it is less than 600grams. When it is fully compressed, it is 1800g. You should start off the first couple of weeks with very low tension.

Pain is common with the noose and comfort strap setup. If you get modified VacExtender addition, there is no pain, only discomfort. Sometimes I feel a stretch, sometimes I don’t.

You start off at a certain extender length and slowly add more tension rods/increase tension by turning screws after awhile.

I’m pretty new to this also but I have logged a lot of hours so far.

Biggest thing is do whatever it takes to make it comfortable. Then the rest is up to how dedicated you are.

The thing is that it doesn’t seem like the extender compresses at all despite how much the rods are turned to extend it out. It does have springs in it for compression, but it just doesn’t seem to compress down as you go further.

I recall trying what the instruction manual says by starting with the rods that it wants me too, and then extend out until I feel a slight discomfort. Well, I don’t feel any at all and the initial extension doesn’t feel like a stretch at all. Keeping this in mind, the extender didn’t compress at all as I maxed the rods out. So either I’m doing something completely wrong, or the particular kind I have doesn’t really work that way.

Does anyone happen to know the measurements for where the tension marks go anyways?

I don’t know anything about LeLuv extenders. If the springs are the same as X4, the marks are about 1/4 inch apart. I would keep working with it and add rods and and screw them out until you feel slight discomfort and use that as your starting point which should be about 600 gr.
