Extender only veteran gainers, please help.

There is so many conflicting points on the extender. I am new to PE and would like to know what veteran extenders that achieved great results think. The instructions that came with the pro-extender say to stretch slightly more than flaccid length. My flaccid length varies greatly from 1 to 3.5 inches and BPEL is about 6 1/8. What is the correct length to start at? I read some posts saying you won’t gain erect length if you don’t stretch passed BPEL, and then others say the opposite. I have also read others say if you stretch too much in the beginning, you will “toughen” your cock and make gains almost impossible? Someone that has gained good erect length from the extenders please help. I don’t know where to start.

Start from your NBPEL minus 1”.

Can you determine tension on a “pro-extender”? My X4 has tension lines inscribed on the lower rods to let you set tension. In the beginning you should maintain the rod length so that you stay between 500 and 600 gr. of tension.

Well, Ive been using the JES extender on and off for about 7 years. Ive gained about .75 inch in BPEL from 6.00 to 6.75. I used to pay attention to the little details like how much tension I was using with grams of tension etc. But now I just crank that sucker all the way up and keep it on for as long I can until its unbearable to wear. I also notice that if I stop using the JES the gains recede, but they also come back when I begin using it. I think “not letting it turtle” has a a lot to do with keeping your gains too. When Im not using the extender I use Monkey Bar’s Auto X Sleeve as it keeps my unit elongated and adds a little weight, just enough to keep it pulling down, but obviously not enough for resistance. When I leave the house I use this new thing called the Stealth Sleeve. Its great because it keeps my foreskin retracted! Other than that I don’t think the Stealth Sleeve can be used for lengthening, it’s more for preventing turtling. Foreskin is a big problem with shrinkage as it envelops the unit completely when cold out as you may know. Anyway all in all my experience using an extender is a very very slow progression. I just keep in mind that PE is a journey through time!

jackhumble, great to see you got such good results. I see that you also gained length and girth from other exercises. Can you tell me how much you gained from other PE before you got serious with the extender, and/or how much you think you would have gained doing either alone? I gained about .5” from jelqing, stretching, and hanging during my first year of PE, but then all gains stopped and it’s been years of nothing since. I’m trying to figure out how reasonable it may or may not be to think that I could start gaining again by starting using an extender.

Why are there so many conficting points when it comes to extending, especially when the cenus says they work on the same principle

I started with a proextender. Initially I would rely on the tension bars on the proextender starting at the first bar and gradually increasing the time in traction and the tension as you get used to the extender. Do it gradually. There are newbie extender routines here you can follow.

I am of the school that you won’t gain erect length if you don’t stretch passed BPEL but it does not matter if I am right or wrong. As you will progress you will find you can gradually stretch more and eventually you will be able to stretch beyond your BEPL. First I noted my flaccid getting bigger and only after 3 months or so did I notice my BEPL increasing.

Get into a routine that includes rest days and possibly rest weeks from time to time but above all give it a break if you find your EQ declining. After a break EQ will come back in spades.

I have increased in BEPL by well over an inch in 10 months though some of that may be a result of better EQ. I started at 5 1/4” but had previously shrunk over the years from a youth BEPL of 6 1/4” I last measured BEPL at 6.7”. I now pump as well as extend and also do jelqs between extender sessions. I am on a 5 day on 2 day off routine with a week off which is scheduled depending on other activities (travel etc).

No it was cheapie I bought for less than $20 from aliexpress

I have since modded it by adding a strap head which allows for a DIY velcro strap.

More recently I bought a LeLuv slider so I can try out rootsnatty’s stress relaxation technique.

However I did all my early extending on the proextender and got gains with it.

Do the angle at which I extend matter?

Most of the recent research has indicated that Penile exercises and stretching do NOT (therotically) increase your penis size. They increase the blood flow which gives you a more “fuller” look - which is innaccurate when it comes to the actual size of the penis itself. Some articles I’ve recently read state that extenders are scientifically / medically proven to extend the actual penis (I think if this is something your going to do, you may as well stretch and do other exercises to increase the blood flow - the fuller the better!) by using traction and extending the fibers. I’m a newbie and I’m going to begin stretching and other exercises, but I think the extender is the way to go. If Austfred and Jackhumble have had so much positive gains with the extender it just goes to show. But I would definitely add the stretching and exercises in just for overall penile health.

If the Pro extender was that cheap I may give it a go! At that price who wouldn’t? The extenders I’ve found online are in the hundreds!

Perhaps someone should do some research based on experience of Thunders members. I suspect most of these research efforts are based on short term PE which probably does not give permanent gain. However as many here have found long term consistent effort often (but not always) can produce long term gains.

I extend because I discovered PE after buying an extender and secondly I find it an easy way to consistently stretch. However manual stretching and hanging are also valid ways that I for one do not use but many here have done successfully. I did get significant gains but how much of those are related to recovering lost length through better EQ are hard for me to judge.

I now also jelq using an inverted two hand V jelq but it took me a while to get that to work properly. I now also pump dynamically and it has helped my EQ and given some girth gains.

I cannot see much point in paying a lot for an extender when a cheap one works. The thing I focussed on is the means of attachment and found the DIY velcro strap works for me but the Vacextender is also OK provided you can avoid blisters.
