Let’s face it, we got some bad penis days, just as we have bad hair days. And just when we have to get naked in public, e.g. saunas, locker rooms, our dicks don’t cooperate, due to various reasons (in the cold, discomfort, tired, recovering from PE, etc.). Am I the only one here who experience the turtleing effect after an intense session in the gym? Btw, do “showers” also experience turtleing? LOL

Anyway, my real question is, does your SHORTEST flaccid length improve while getting the gains in erect length and perhaps even gains in “normal” flaccid length with extenders? If so, how did you achieve the gain and how much? Are the gains by extenders alone? Do you still experience turtleing when you’ve achieved the gains?

Do you even keep track of your shortest flaccid length? I think it’s one important measurement to keep track of as our flaccid state is what we flaunt to the most number of people, as our erect state is most likely reserved for private viewing only, unless of course you’re in a certain career type.

Hey, dstallion — It’s surprising you don’t have a lot of replies to your question yet, but I think it deserves consideration since that’s probably the state a guy will be in, in the locker room or shower, or while dressing. I’ve been doing PE for about 5 months and had modest gains in NBPFL, but for the last 3 weeks I’ve been using an extender ADS an average 4 hours per day, and I see between .5 & .75” gain in my NBPFL.

I think you’re asking an important question!

Hey Trekker! I think so too and thanks for agreeing with me. Do you consider your measured NBPFL as your shortest flaccid length? I think NBPFL varies a lot, even for one person alone, but yours might be an exemption.

Congrats on your gains, btw! Gaining half an inch to 3 quarters in 5 months is impressive. How are your flaccid gains when compared to your erect gains? And how many hours per day did you spend prior to the last 3 weeks? I assume it was not with extenders in that period?

Yeah, NBPFL is definitely my shortest. I had some modest gains after couple months of PE but think more is happening with use of the extender; I’ll post further results on down the line. Erect gains are about the same, although % increase for NBPFL is more. My PE before the ADS averaged about 30 minutes per day (no extender) but I’ve actually slacked off to 10 to 20 minutes jelqing plus light wrap & stretches in the last 4 weeks … Plus the extender.

My “longest” flaccid length (under ideal conditions) has increased by about 1/2 inch. However, my shortest flaccid length hasn’t changed at al. It remains a nub.

dstallion, please excuse my taking liberties with your original quote by paring it down to the question of turtleing. Years ago I started running actively to keep up the physical sharpness gained during National Guard officers training. I was counseled by a long-term runner to dispense with the jock strap, because ‘the body will take care of itself’ (meaning the testicles would draw up tight & not chafe), which proved to be true; a secondary effect I saw after a long run was an apparently shorter, turtled penis.

I do now occasionally see turtleing when I’m not extending. I came to be more aware of turtleing in the past couple of years before I started PE & thought maybe it was age related, along with a (real or perceived) smaller member since becoming less sexually active due to wifey’s preference. However, I give jelqing credit for the gains I’ve experienced … AND for more turtleing when unextended. It’ll be interesting to see if turtleing is reduced through extending!

I’ve gained about 2.5” of BPFSL, about 1.75” of BPEL, about 1.0 - 1.25” on my average flaccid, and about 0.5” on my shortest flaccid. I’ve been a lifelong grower and not a shower. Showers might express a greater portion of gains while flaccid.

I have not done a good job tracking my flaccid metrics, so I will not be throwing around any before numbers. Currently I often hang at around 5”+ nbpfl. Qualitatively I can say for certain though that my average flaccid state is much improved after 950 hours of extending. So much so that my wife calls me a shower and says I typically look like I’m chubbed up when I am not.

I always hang at my shortest after intense workouts. Quite frankly if my cock was still hanging low after a workout that probably means I didn’t work hard enough as from my perspective there should be little blood left for my cock.

I suspect that over a significant amount of time in the extender the “elastic potential” of the penis begins to change through deformation. I believe this is occurring to my penis. It’s a slow process like water carving a channel through stone. Thank god I’m stubborn!

First time caller, medium time listener.

I started extending about 9 months ago, and had to put it on pause for the last 3 months. I’ve just started back up (removed 75mm of extension rods to avoid overdoing it)

I gained 0.5” in my minimum flaccid length, and kept it the entire 3 month break. But honestly, I think I’m a different case, I had ED from the age of 14 so I think my penis never developed properly. No morning wood, no spontaneous erections and only 60% to play with. Tried viagra at 18 and got absolutely nothing from it.

Started PEing about a year ago and I got my first erection and actually can relate to ‘feeling horny’ which, let me tell you, shouldn’t be taken for granted :)

Flaccid increased in all aspects for me. I actually find it kind of funny if I work out or swim and it really turtles, as I can measure it and I still come out around 4.5” non-pressed, where before PE, 4-4.5” non-pressed was a good day.

I should add I never really used an extender…gains thus far have 90% been from manual stretching in the shower.

Yes we have got to kill the elasticity in the penis. I hate turtling with a passion it has destroyed my life and all along it was because my penis was more elastic than the luckier guys with a non elastic shower penis. So we have to get more compliance (a penis that will stretch longer easier) and LESS ELASTICITY.

Having an elastic penis i.e a turtling penis is in my opinion a birth defect that will destroy your confidence and quality of life.

I think my shortest has gotten longer, for sure. It’s probably about doubled; I used to shrink all the way down to a half inch at the worst and now I’m not seeing it less than an inch even when i’m turtling super hard.

More than that, though. I’m finding that the severity of turtling is improved. It used to turtle 100% easily. Now when it feels like it’s turtled way down, I’m pleasantly surprised to see a 2.5-3 inch penis tucked in my pants. I find that, usually, I only turtle just enough for the excess skin [I’m circed since birth, BTW] to cover about half of the glans. One of my theories is that turtling is an issue that’s triggered by the natural desire of the glans to be covered; it’s retracting to protect the glans.

Maybe we should survey it… How bad to you turtle and are you cut or uncut?

Flaccid length

I think flaccid length does increase with erect length. I grew from 7.5” BPEL to 8.5” BPEL from manual methods (and cycling a supplement with Yohimbe in it). My flaccid went from 3.5” to 4.5”.

And to comment on the turtling cut/uncut/restored. I never turtled up until I started foreskin restoration. I think that stretching the skin laterally enabled my penis to turtle more easily. Here’s my experience: So when my penis would turtle with my new FS, it would be a shorter flaccid. But now I have grown so much skin that I have almost complete erect coverage, so when I have a turtledick from the cold (min. Length), the shaft is actually a little shorter, but the foreskin tube sticks out the difference, so my flaccid is still about 4.5”. Now, if I retract my FS when cold, the extra skin trapped behind my sulcus pushes my shaft out longer so that my flaccid is about 6.5”, even when cold. So.I’m glad I restored. Beside the obvious benefits of comfort and better sex, I have a longer flaccid hang as well.

A good question. We sometimes tend to forget our short flaccid penis moments. What George in the Seinfeld TV show referred to as shrinkage. But it happens to me and I guess all you guys. I remember years ago when I was in high school I used to dread showering with my peers T after PT. It was ok in summer but in winter I was short, real short. Yeah like a turtle pulling his head in. I developed a habit of going to the toilet before showering and manipulating my manhood until I got a partial erection. That way I didn’t get laughed at by my mates and have comments made about my penis size or lack thereof.

The best way I have found to increase smallest flaccid size, especially is you are carrying a few extra pounds of weight on your body is to lose a little weight. That gets rid of the pubic mound that can swallow up mister wobbly. One of my mates had liposuction on his pubic mound and that gave him an extra half inch in visual penis size.

Having said all that weight training works, but you have to keep at it. I have been training for 5 or so years on and off and whenever I stop for more than a couple of weeks I have a slight reversal. I used to stop when holidaying because I didn’t want all the extra weight in my suitcase. What I do now is take my vacuum hanger and use a large one gallon container filled with water to do my workout. Check out YouTube videos to see the work being done to increase leg length. If it works on leg bone and tissue it will work on your penis.

Just my opinion but I would suggest looking into the Wim Hoff method. Can find a lot of info online for free. It’s pretty much a few different breathing exercises and some cold exposure. By training the body and mind , you can effect all sorts of physiology.
