Anybody gained from extender but never from manual stretches before it?

Also forgot to mention quim92 that TNTjockey use to hang before he got into his clamping routine he had a hanging injury and had to take 6 months off of PE if my memory serves me correctly.

Even Bib took weekend off although he doesn’t recommend them.

Have you read the theory about the smooth muscle and the tunica? I like that theory too.

I took weekend off and I don’t feel that bad at all after reading this, I will stick to the 6 months I said of stretching almost 1h a day (now 5 days a week or less) and then rest if nothing has changed (I don’t expect anything)..

Quim. I will try to contribute to your original question.

I first got into PE without knowing much about it. At around 65 I noticed my dick had started shrinking and I was getting noticeable ED. I did a bit of hand stretching without knowing much about it but believe it stopped the shrinking without giving me much gains. I then bought a basic extender and by about a year I had gained over an inch and my BEPL was longer than I was in my youth. During that time I discovered Thunders (and PEGym) and got a better handle on PE. Also took up pumping (initially to help EQ) and have gained a half inch in MSEG (I never lost much girth during my shrinkage).

Have not have much in the way of length gains lately and my PE has been disrupted because of a rather traumatic house move but am now getting more into it again am experimenting to get that post newbie growth spurt.

Also have been jelqing and am slowly improving my technique with advice from other Thunders members.

So in summary most of my gains have been using machines (eg extenders or pumps) rather than hands.

Now the reason. I believe that in my case I pick things up more quickly when they are measurable and controllable rather than by feel. As many on Thunders have found, I suspect manual techniques can be just as successful if you have the knack. Now as I finesse my jelqing technique I am finding I am also doing a bit more manual stretching and slowly getting a better handle on it. Will I give up the machines? Hell no. But there are times and places (eg in the shower or possibly bed) where I can do a bit of manuals.

We use extenders and hanging so we can do something else while we PE.

Thanks ausfred and dtwarren for contributing with your experience in this thread. I am doing so many minutes of stretches and also a few jelq and I don’t see anything other than the newbie I got like almost 1 year ago.. I see something new and different is required.

Austfred, how long were your stretching sessions before you tried out the extender? Did you complement your extender with any other manual?

I see one can sum up your gains with, 1inch in 1 year with an extender (like 6h a day) and half inch in girth with the pump from Mr fantastic. I see you really like devices :) hanging might yield new gains probably to you.

Essentially random stretches in the shower and in bed. At that time really did not know what to do;

Yes I did do some jelqing and I think it helped. I am still trying to finesse my jelquing technique and believe I have made sime progress recently thanks to Plaidshirt and TNTjockey posting insights.

I actually gained 1 1/4” in BEPL but that took a bit more than 12 months. The girth gains after I had got most of my length gains. I rarely did more than 4 hours a day extending. Also I must point out most of my length gains were recoveries from shrinkage over time. I shrank from 6 1/4” in my prime to under 5” at around 65 years and am now at 67 about 6.5” (6.7” on a good day}. On my next campaign I want to get to 7” BEPL When we get the new house fully sorted I hope to have the time to do that.

Currently I find I can fit my pumping in easily and together with improved jelqing I am hoping for some more girth gains. My recent EQ has also been great, possibly due to the longer rest break and the weight loss / exercise involved with the move.

I suspect you are correct. I am saving that up until I have the time to focus on it. Have just moved house and need to sort things out including privacy issues. Currently am mainly pumping and jelquing after a few months rest break (related to the move)

I had been using a two handed inverted V Jelq which gives the CCs a good work over but the way I was applying it did not seem very good at pushing blood towards the glans. Plaidshirt suggested the overhand jelq and did a good job of explaining it here - How to Jelq (p. 7) - see post 93. I find I can get a good grip with this and excellent blood flow.

Then I read tntjockeys post - Sta-Kool’s Icicle Diary Vol. 32,000 (p. 25) - post 363 which gave some really good tips on jelqing.

Firstly I would not call it a routine. Because we have just moved house and I have an adult son who lives with us I have some privacy issues that need sorting out before I can go back to a proper routine involving extending and ADS as well as I have been doing in the past. Also there are a lot of things I have to do to the new house that are distracting me from a proper routine.

On the other hand after the rest break I am keen to get back in so have been focusing on pumping and jelqing. I was getting some blisters from by pumping which had slowed that down. I am keen on silicone sleeve pumping (using a Mr Fantastic water pump) as I have found that prevents edemas and donuts at least in my penis - Silicon Sleeve Pumping . However I pump dynamically in the range 4 - 14” Hg for up to 60 mins and found I was getting small blisters. I also found a silicone glans protector did not prevent these blisters and made it harder to see them forming. However others have discovered a technique whereby you apply baby powder to your glans before you fit the glans protector to prevent blisters. I have been trialling it and so far it is working great. Not sure why it works but suspect it allows the protector to be fitted more easily with an air gap between it and the glans. So it has given me a new enthusiasm for pumping.

I have always felt jelqing is a great complementary technique. Great to apply both before and after extending and pumping and I expect also with hanging and clamping. It gets the blood flowing and in the case of pumping may displace lymph fluid with blood.

Have not measured lately but I feel girthier both flaccid and erect and my EQ has been better than for a long time. Sex has also got better.

Take a pumping break every twenty to thirty minutes to avoid blisters.

Yes that would prevent the blisters but gains seem to start accelerating after the first 30 mins. If the baby powder approach continues working I will stick to the 60 min sessions. They certainly are helping my EQ and I suspect they are leading to further girth gains. The main benefits of the Mr Fantastic water pump are that it has, apart from the blister issue, allowed me to extend the session time as well as an easy way of keeping my penis warm while under vacuum, in comparison to the Mr Fantastic air pump I previously used. My EQ (and Girth) has certainly improved with the change.

A bonus os using the glans protector / sleeve combo is now I can use quite hot water in the cylinder whereas with the sleeve only, my glans would only tolerate moderately warm water. The hotter water keeps the shole system warm for the whole 60 mins. I use a double walled stainless steel wine cooler like you see in cafes as the water container.

I should also point out the move to 60 min sessions also was the cause of me adopting silicone sleeve pumping. When I pumped for 30 mins with the air pump I got much less fluid build up than in the water pump for 60 mins but still quite a bit more than I now do with the sleeve where the fluid build up is not noticeable.

The main issue of the blisters is they take out of action during the healing time. They seem to mainly heal up in a week and have been much less severe than the ones I got with the Vacextender.

Austfred. Its only a five minute jelquing break. You can get back in the tube and gains will resume. Many of us had to take a break from the vacuum or the consequence is blisters on the glans.
