To make a long story very short, I am still a newbie and I have been switching my routine around like crazy every since starting and haven’t really gained much. I now am just getting the feel of what its like to over train my unit and can definitely say that I am doing too much work for him. I have began to have negative PI’s and lack of growth so I know that my tender guy has taken a beating and its time to ease up.

After doing a search about over training and after reading every thread that came up on the subject, I definitely can say I now have the knowledge to know that it is time to chill out for a bit. However, there was one really interesting post by Monty that got me rethinking my little decon break.

You should STOP training until it is properly healed. You are doing the equivalent of picking at a sore spot on your body It will simply take much longer , and you may cause setbacks by exercising it.

I understand this, but I think you skipped over the main part of my thread about HEALING in an EXTENDED state.

I am curious about this too. Properly healed, but properly healed in an extended state.

Makes sense to me. I always use and ads as much as possible. Mine are uncomfortable though.

Healing in a longer state hasn’t any proper sense. If your penis requires to heal, you have to avoid impsoing any other stresses on it, because it will only elongate time needed to recover.

It’s also false that the penis will heal in a shorter state: bodily tissues have a kind of ‘memory’, so they will tend to heal in the longest state reached when the damage happened - this is just how adaptation to stressor works.

But aren’t you supposed to wear the ADS everyday, mine says to wear it 9 hours a day, which I cannot do, the most I have worn it for was maybe 8 hours total, but on average 3 to 4. Marinera how long have you been wearing your ADS for?

Is there evidence that supports this statement?

How did you reach 9.5 inches? Did you use ADS? Hanging? No ADS? What was your routine?

I had gains with: hanging, manual exercises, extender. Look that my gains aren’t so great: I gained about 1.5” length, which are about 20% of starting length. There are guys around here who gained 60% of starting length.

You are supposed to wear ADS/extender many hours daily; this has nothing to do with ‘healing in a longer state’.

I worn my extender for about 700h since now, gaining about 1.5 cm length.

Yes, I think manuals + extender is the way to go, but one has to be cautious and avoid overwork.

Thanks for stating this marinera. While I’m not sure about whether healing in an extended state is a false exercise theory: I think its rather silly for people to believe you can make your unit smaller by over-training it. Aside from reduced eq I think its very silly to think you can make a body part smaller by stretching it.


I'm consistent in spurts, but gains are undeniable!

2007: BPEL 5.5" / MSEG 4.7" / BG 5.5"

The concept that healing without any steady stretch will produce healing in the last longest state is wrong. Ligament tissues heal in 3 distinct phases and in the last stage the body will return the tissues that were damaged to their original length.

The therapy is very old but what it says is damaged tendons that heal improperly can be made normal again when prolotherapy is applied. The therapy consists of injecting an irritant into the damaged area and allowing the area to go through the normal healing process and the end result is a return to normal tightness and balance with other structures.

When you conceptualize that bone can be lengthened by breaking it and then retaining the bone in a traction state the bone grows together naturally but is now longer.

The same principle works here only with softer tissue the damage is not as traumatic as a total breakage as is required in the bone example. Ligaments can be damaged from stress and collagen will come to that point and start wrapping itself around the damaged strings or matrix of the ligament tissues. If they are allowed to proceed normally they WILL cause shrinkage of the surrounding area returning it to its ORIGINAL length. Collagen shrinks as it matures.

Now lets not get the idea that we can have prolotherapy applied and then go in to a tractive state to make gains. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want some guy sticking a needle into my dick causing catastrophic damage to my unit and hope he applies it evenly, just to gain some length I can get by steady stress.
