Why Are Girth Gains So Hard To Achieve

It seems to me that many guys find girth gains hard to achieve. Me being one of them.

We have the LOT theory which has helped to explain length gains.

Does anyone have any theories on girth gains?

The tunica is the limiting factor in girth gains, it covers the erectile chambers. So when you do girth moves, to gain girth along the whole shaft, a great deal of tissue needs to be expanded. There is simply more work to be done.

As for girth gains, just consistently causing lateral exansion will be enough, as long as the time and intensity variables are optimal. It will take time to find out how much girth work you need.

Therefore in a workout which lasts more than 45 minutes I do 2 1/2 minutes of intense girth exercises.

From what I have read, my routine is not that unusual for someone concentrating on girth.

Does this call for a rethink on the time spent on intense girth exercises for me and many other guys looking for increased girth?

No, the other way round. Time and intensity are opposites, you can squeeze with more intensity for 30 seconds than you can for 60 seconds.

There are better methods, but some people can indeed make good girth gains from jelqing. The strength of the limiting factors will vary from person to person.

Yes that is true, to ‘throw in’ the big boys (horses, uli’s etc) along a jelqing routine is a common technique.

Yes, people should always rethink their routine, there are always ways to improve. Once you feel you have a good routine, stick with it for a while and see how it develops. Maybe you feel you should do the more intense moves every 50 jelqs, or maybe you feel you are over training and should cut back a little.

BTW what is your LOT, what is your EL now and what is your EL goal? You might want to work on length before girth.

My LOT is 8.
Original BPEL 6.5”
Current BPEL 7.2”
Current NBPEL 6.8”
BPEL Goal: Short term (hopefully) 7.5” Long term 8” NBP
Original EG 4.5”
Current EG 4.6”

Definitely want to concentrate on girth now.

The limiting factors for length are the ligs and the tunica. The limiting factor for girth is the tunica. They are made of collagenous fibers, which are tougher in some people than others. Hence the fact that there exists both easy gainers and hard gainers.

As your goal length is only .3” over what you have now, I feel you can reach this goal through lig stretching, and the girth routines you do will not affect length gains from this method. If you need to do tunica stretching in the future, these girth gains will make this more difficult.

I were in your position I would get my girth to 5”, and worry about length gains later.

Sure I will. This would be a good routine to try:

I would do what you are doing now, and gradually increase the amount of advanced moves in the jelqing session. Do a 30 second horse or uli every 75 jelqs for a week, and see what you think. Then maybe try every 50 jelqs for a week, then every 25 etc. The more of these advanced moves you add in, the less intense your jelqing will need to be, up to a point. Simply use the jelqing to keep the engorgement between the horses and/or ulis.

Also, make sure your jelq strokes are nice and slow.

Just remember to pay attention to what is happening, and adjust your routine accordingly. Safety first, always.

I’m jealous of your length gains. I’ve gained 0.25” EL in April, but it seems a lot harder to gain length since last month. I’ve gained 0.5” EG by doing the following girth routine during last two months. I would like to share with you. Maybe it’s helpful!

I do 5 minutes warming up and cooling down (in hot shower) before and after girth exercises. I do jelqing at over 90% erection. Jelqing speed varies depending my feeling. Everytime, when reaching 50 counts(50, 150, 250…), I do one horse for 10 seconds, then continuing jelq till 100 counts (100,200,…), I then do one DLD Bend for 20 seconds and followed by an Uli for 30 seconds. Normally I do altogether 500-800 jelqs each session depending on my available time and the soreness of the penis.

By the way, could you share your length routine with me?

I am starting a new girth sqeeze exercise that is intense but seems much safer than erect leqing or dld bends

With a 70% erection grasp your cock with two hands- one at the very base and the other about three inches up-and push your hands together holding tightly—-you can really feel the tunica expand and you can put a lot of pressure on a small area. Then I move about and inch up with both hands and do it again——-until I cover my entire shaft——-nice and sore afterward——hopefully I will start seeing results—will post on progress

Rainsea, your girth routine looks great and it has worked for you too. I may try adding DLD bends in the future.

Unfortunately I can’t be much help with length gains. Mine have all been initial gains purely from jelqing. I did various beginner routines but they were just basic jelqing and a few short stretches.

For the past two weeks or so I have been going 30 minutes of stretching in the morning, but I have seen no additional gains as yet. As my LOT is 8 I have been stretching primarily at low angles.
