I thought I read that the average was between 4.25” and 5.25”…
I’m sure I saw this in connection with how different brands of condoms were sized for girth.

I would think that 5.5” + is a rarer and rarer occurence as you go up the scale.

I just did a quick scan of our trusty PE Data site and the 50% rule, doesn’t seem to apply.

No, that is the average penile diameter, not the average circumference. Actually, come to think of it, I think that’s actually the average radius.

Illpo, Paragoomba: you can stop laughing. I will go find, and then add a link to, a very good site with very good stats on penis size. The variability in length is pretty large - but in girth, men are much more “clustered” right around the 5-inch mark. The number at 6” or more are vanishingly small.

The percentage figures rise dramatically very quickly. As I recall, 5” is average, but 5.25” puts you in the top 30%. 5.5” puts you I believe in the top 10th percentile.

So okay, now I have to go find the research. Damn.

My experience backs up the percentages Dangle just gave. Nearly every girl I had been with pre-PE said I was the thickest they had been with. And that was only when I was at monst 5.5”. I wouldn’t say that 6” girth is rare, but it is certainly a small percentage of the total popluation.

6” and over, you’re in the very TOP percentage-wise. Length, as you can see is more variable.

I wish this weren’t true, by the way! I have more length than girth.

By the way, this site uses research from the 4 best sources (including the Durex nurse-measured survey) — NOT old stuff like the Masters & Johnson crap that was self-measured and had the average length at 6.4 inches (it is 5.9 inches according to Durex, and they NEED to know for product research). Doesn’t this make you feel better?

I agree with you. I don’t think there are many very good scientific studies of erect girth, but the self-report surveys I’ve seen, and my own personal experiences, lead me to believe that 6” girths are very uncommon — certainly no more than 10% of the population, and probably more like 2-3%.

My average penis size thread shows that I am among those who think that many paranoid guys here needlessly scare themselves into thinking that monster cocks are a dime a dozen.

I think penis sizes CAN be linked with the sizes and shapes of other things on a man’s body. For instance,

I have a huge forhead. I am not balding, I just have a tall, wide head.
My wrists and fingers are quite girthy.
I cannot fit into many cowboy boots or tight jeans because my calfs and thighs don’t fit into them.
I cannot get a shirt to button the top button unless the shirt is 5 sizes to large.
My feet are EE.
I have a 6” girth unit.
Now keep in mind, I am only 5’3.5” tall. I cannot find a car to fit me well. It is necc. to ask my wife to get things for me from the high shelves. I have to buy all my suits and dress shirts at The Short Shop in SanFrancisco.

I am not complaining, I am blessed with a 6.5” x 6” unit and now almost at 7” length. My wife loves it and she loves me. That is what matters.
