IR is definitely good for recovery after session, I even heat my testicles [during winter, although it may not be a good idea]

According to the test @Marinera it seems that US is also good.

You should stop heating your balls with IR (or US) heat. The testicles need to remain at a very specific heat and they regulate this quite effectively on their own, if you use penetrating heat on them such as from IR light, you could end up with problems.

Careful with that. You may end up with a couple of raisinettes :)

I stretch with an IR lamp constantly on my area but keep a t-shirt over my sack.

Sophomoric, the problem is finding a 3MHz unit that produces an intensity of even .5W/cm^2, let alone 1 or 1.5W/cm^2, which is preferable. All the 3MHz devices that I could find (that cost below $800) were designed for skin/beauty asthetics, and would not serve our purpose here. It’s even hard to find 1MHz devices that produce a decent intensity without paying for a professional machine, but there are a handful of them.

The way things are looking, though I’d prefer a 3MHz device, I think it makes more sense for me to use a 1MHz device which has a decent intensity output. Most of the 3MHz devices don’t even provide information on the intensity output, but merely say “comes with 3 intensity settings, low, med and high, so you’ll be covered on all bases!!!” - yeah, all bases under .3W/cm2…

Though a 1MHz ultrasound is likely to be most effective at levels deeper than what we’re thinking of, I think this can be circumvented buy buying a gel-pad of approximately an inch’s thickness.

I would be very careful when attempting to clamp while using ultrasonic heating. I’ve read in a number of places that ultrasound should not be used in ischemic tissue as it can be dangerous, I’m not sure on the mechanics though.

hmm. Yes I’ve heard before that testicles should not be heated with IR, but sometimes even during warm days they are very cold, which is not quite pleasant feeling. Do you think that’s normal?

I found a few devices running 3 Mhz with a 0.5/cm^2. I believe anything below 0.3 is useless? Which means that with a sufficient warm up period the 0.5 unit should get the job done eventually.

Well I use USB powered mittens (with in built heating elements) whilst sleeping and that does the job and the power draw is low enough such that the skin is not burnt. Can be used at night

Whats the best IR Lamp to get for PEing and keeping only the penis heated and not the testicles? I’ve always wanted to get another heat source besides my heating pouch because I now hang and its difficult to keep the pouch on all the time because the temperature can be inconsistent.

The frequency of the sound wave determines the depth of tissue penetration rather than the power of the device. The studies Tweaking and I were discussing suggested than anything below 0.3watts cm/^2 doesn’t impart enough energy to induce adequate cellular excitability. A 0.5w cm/^2 would work but just require a longer period of heating.

That’s great information at that site. Some years ago I used to work at a company that made transducers. They were used for mechanical inspections of precision tubing, but were highly adjustable over a range that included 1MHz (but at much higher powers then what’s used for medical purposes).

I’m thinking this is a very worthwhile experiment to try, just to see if there’s any potential with U.S.

But, how would you use it? Would you wait until you hit a plateau with PE and then use US to try to break through it? Or would you just start using it as soon as you bought a suitable US system and see if there’s an acceleration in results?

Also, what kind of routine would you use with the US? Would you use it after PE ore before? Or maybe on days off even?

Can I use this thread to get your opinions on this?

I bought a nice, sturdy, adjustable table lamp from Target and the infra-red bulb from Petsmart.
