Turn-Key Clamps

Turn-Key Clamps

I saw these in Home Depot today and thought they’d look nice in my PE drawer. They might come in handy for clamping (obviously) and for my intended usage—as a replacement for the Cable Clamp for my Captn’s Wench.

My apologies if these are old news. A quick search turned up empty.

Sweeeeet!
HD+ TP= PE paradise!

Every time I find more PE shit at HD, I but more HD stock- after all, 40,000 Thunder’s Placers can’t be wrong!

BTW- I wonder if the bump last third quarter was when the cable clamp was discovered by TP?

And if the turnkey clamp impacted the recent rise?

I’m just saying… .

Love it, BUT — I have always avoided this sort of clamp because of the faint possibility of failure/stripping. Do you think this is possible? Cable clamps are plastic, and that gives me confidence because I know I can break them if I have to. But metal …man, I hate to think about THAT trip to the emergency room…

Looks interesting. Have you tried them yet? Might even be able to use it to keep my Bib closed. It keeps poping open on me

Yeah, if it striped out by the time you got to the ER you’d be swollen up like a cantaloupe. Probably have to use the Jaws of Life. But you might end up with nice girth

Actually my first clamp was a hoseclamp with a turnkey Except that you don’t need a nutdriver there’s no difference compared to an ordinary hoseclamp. There are some differences in quality though, the ones pictured wore out within 1-2 months. The one I’m currently using (not pictured) is slightly wider and thicker and has not shown any signs of wearing yet.

Hoseclamps will last longer if you keep them oiled. When a hoseclamp is almost worn you won’t be able to get it as tight as before but it will always come off

WARPED priorities

And I concur

The metal on these things is actually quite thin. It could probably be cut with a rugged pair of scissors or certainly sheet metal clips. In my intended application (with the Wench), I could easily get one blade of the scissors under the metal to cut if off if I had to.

Just to see if it worked, I tried this clamp with my Wenchette for about 2 minutes earlier today. It went on and off with no problem. It’s a little slower than a Cable Clamp, but is easier on the hands and is more finely adjustable. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but it seemed to feel more comfortable than the cable clamp, and it certainly held on tightly.

I’m going to get one of these turnkey clamps for extreme ulis. I’ve been using a Multi Clamp, but hose clamps are a bit wider and hence more comfortable.

I’m an HD shareholder too, so everyone get in there and buy buy buy. Down with Lowes!

Well, I may have to give it a shot. I guess the prospect of having to go to the ER with one on my dick would make me turtle up so badly that there would be plenty of space to get some scissors in there to cut the thing. So no problem.

*sigh* I’m at a severe PE disadvantage here, living at the very end of the earth. No Home Depot, no Lowe’s, no nuthin’. If I can’t bum it off a neighboring moose, I’m outta luck. Last I checked, the moose weren’t much concerned with penis size, but they do tend to be acomplished DIY’ers, so I might get lucky. It’s the Black Bears that are really into plumbing though, and they don’t like to share. ;)

Ahhh.. this just in for other end-of-the-earther’s

I have a couple of warnings about these clamps.

First, realize that new clamps can have little pieces of stamped out metal floating around in them. Remember, these are designed for hoses, not dicks. I just pulled a chip of sharp metal off of my dick from a new clamp about 1/16” square. I’m glad that didn’t cause a problem.

Second, replace your clamp often. My first clamp wore out a couple of weeks ago, but I continued to use it. The way it wore prevented me from tightening it as much as I would have liked. When I switched to a new clamp, I immediately felt the difference. A little tighter in my case meant much more comfort. Buy a gross of clamps and use a new one every month.

BTW: I still love these things.

Has anybody found a place to buy these online?

I can only find these at Harbour Frieght and they are size #12 which is too darned small for my girth.
