Tungsten glans ring

I have been wearing glans rings for a number of years. I have a number of stainless steel O rings, I have a 60 grams stainless steel glans ring (5 mm thick, and 15mm wide ), I have a number of tungsten finger rings they are around 24 grams. I usually wear two of the finger rings to increase the weight. My favorite ring is a 120 gram stainless steel shaft colar. It is bulky ( 8mm thick and 16mm wide ).

The perfect glans ring would be the 5mm thick by 15mm wide ring, but instead of being made of stainless steel it would be made of tungsten. Tungsten is twice the weight of stainless steel. This ring in tungsten would weigh what the shaft collar ring weighed but it would be less bulky, and look nicer with the girl friend, for social nude recreation, or in the locker room.

If find a 120 gram glans ring combats turtling, and maintains gains. The constant light stretching might even add a little size over time. As an added bonus, it just plain feels good to wear. I am pretty much wearing it from the time I get up till I go to bed everyday.

I have checked with factories in China. After the initial cost of having the first ring produced and delivered to my door, which would cost around $270, I could get them made for about $24 plus shipping in lots of 20. This would be a nice looking surprisingly heavy ring ( tungsten is 1.74 times heavier than lead!). It could be left plain, or for a little extra gold colored. Tungsten and pure gold are similar in weight. I think an inside dimension of 25.4mm ( 1 inch ) to 25.8mm would work for most people. So the math with shipping is about $800 to get 20 tungsten glans rings. That would bring the individual cost to about $40 without shipping, so lets say around $50 for a very nice glans ring shipped to your door in US postage.

No I don’t have any pics because they don’t exist yet. I have pretty much gave up on the idea for now. Stainless steel shaft collars are only a few dollars, and work well; except they are bulky.

Tungsten is fairly hard to work with. It needs to be molded at a very high temperature, and then it becomes very hard. Diamond is about all that can cut it.

It makes a lot of sense to use tungsten glans rings, but the cost to start making them would make it necessary to sell a lot of rings just to break even, and as you can see there hasn’t been much of a response. Then there is also the liability issue. If someone didn’t use it properly they could sue the person who manufactured them. The only way to get a tungsten ring off if it is stuck on, is to crush it with a vice grip.

I will just wait and hope someone, somewhere starts to make them.

Tungsten rings have really came down in price. Maybe because it’s not used much in light bulbs anymore.

Repeter - Tungsten Carbide makes for a great ring! Your listed cost for an initial sample ring from China sounds about right but an MOQ of 20 is really low and that supplier may be worth pursuing. Your cost breakdown underestimates shipping (IMO) and ignores an 11.1% import duty on Tungsten Carbide rings.

I recently opened a store selling Tungsten Carbide cock rings, some weighing more than 11 ounces (311 grams) and their mass feels great both in the hand and in the shorts. If I have any success at this I will expand my offerings and glans rings seem like a good direction.

That said, it looks to me like companies selling glans rings offer them in a fine granularity of sizes. For reference, see this product on Gear Essentials:. In Tungsten Carbide terms, each size requires a distinct mold and MOQ’s are based on size. For example, if you want 5 sizes you have to order 5 molds and 20 rings in each size, which adds up quick. You may be right that one size fits most but that doesn’t square with the competition.

If/when I decide to offer glans rings I’ll post back here but my price point will likely be well above your $50 estimate. There is both overhead and risk in my business model that mandate a higher margin than break-even per ring.

Yes, store is open and online only. I posted the link previously and it was removed but @8incyclops got it right. The rings are fantastic, Tungsten Carbide is a great metal for cock rings.
