I just read this story on Yahoo about the marine general named Mattis. I thought this fit in with the story here. He got in trouble for these remarks and was reprimanded by his superior. He definitely was not practicing PC, but is it really newsworthy? The general that had the talk with him also stated that he is one of the bravest men in the service. Some would say he hates others or just Arabs but I think he is just being a Marine. Thank God they fight on our side.

According to an audio recording of Mattis’ remarks, he said, “Actually, it’s a lot of fun to fight. You know, it’s a hell of a hoot. … It’s fun to shoot some people. I’ll be right upfront with you, I like brawling.”

He added, “You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn’t wear a veil,” Mattis continued. “You know, guys like that ain’t got no manhood left anyway. So it’s a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them.”

Was’nt it the Marines that coined the phrase “Kill em all, let God sort em out?”

When you are put into that kind of environment you need to have a hardened heart. You need to be mean, ugly, cold. You are there to kill the enemy. I know that sounds terrible, but it is true. I like this guy. He is there for me, my family, my friends, my freedom.

War is legalised murder but the trouble is the guys that win make the law. Let’s hope the good guys keep winning!

Even better quote than “War is Hell” (I like that quote btw) by Sherman would be…

On another note, people in the south still hate Sherman for what he did all those years ago, but I back him up all the way. Burn it all! Didn’t he burn like 600 miles or something?

I’m a pretty big Seinfeld fan myself. One of my favorite George moments is when he’s talking about having to take a shit and the chick wants to have sex, and they already began. He said the bowel was going to come before he did. The only acceptable excuse he could have used was that he was in fact Batman, and he just saw the bat signal. Gotta go!

George had sex? Damn, I missed that episode.

That’s pretty much what I said. If someone who hears about another guy venting, and because of this he now hates women, he is weak minded for being persuaded without having his own opinion.

I know that many of my posts have brimmed with hostility as of late (especially since that ex seems determined to harass me even after I’ve left). But I’m sure you see that I’ve disavowed violence against women - many times. I never hit women, threaten them, push them, etc. In fact, I have been the target of female violence on several occasions.

I don’t go for the rape stories either (especially since I have a little girl of my own). Even my grim thread about the doc was not about any coercion - except that which came from within her (ego, etc.).

I’ll admit that I transferred anger to her from my own messed up situation. Oh well, you’ll hear no more of that saga. Perhaps some of the jubilant hilarity surrounding that thread (as well as the humor pyrotechnics) raised a few flags.

Oh well, I’m done justifying myself. As has been mentioned, the PC police seem to be constantly breathing down our backs. And if a guy can’t on occasion vent with mere words, then wtf?

PC is just a slogan. Be more specific, please.
