The importance of following the clamping guidelines: Please read

Don’t particularly want to start a new thread, but relating to clamping; does anyone know where you can buy a Cable Clamp at a retail store? I’ve checked 2 Walmarts, 2 Home Depots and an Ace Hardware with no luck.

My dick is fully recovered and I plan to resume PE shortly, but there’s some relevant things I’d like to mention on this thread.

Yesterday, I had sex with my girlfriend. Oddly, the same thing that occurred after the prolonged clamping session (that is, the utter inability to get an erection, but not including the sponge-likeness that proceeded, which didn’t happen this time) happened after I finished having sex. But after 30 minutes I tried manually stimulating myself and making erotic pictures in my mind in the bathroom to see if my unit was still working, and I was able to get a normal erection. Being that I wasn’t thrusting like an insane jack-rabbit (I was actually thrusting at a medium but somewhat gentle speed) and the penetrative sex only lasted for like 10 minutes, I was completely clueless as to what caused my temporary impotence.

Well, I did some research on the subject, and I came to the conclusion that what caused the temporary impotence was due to a refractory period, which is supposedly normal for men after achieving orgasm.

(I should also mention that, after the 30 minute clamping session, I had an orgasm.)

I have a theory as to why my refractory period has now suddenly become longer, when in the past it was virtually non-existent: I’m 19 years of age; and I think that my body is slowly making an hormonal transition from late adolescence to early adulthood, which could account for more prolactin production after orgasm, as a refactory period increases in time as a person ages: "18-year-old males have a refractory period of about 15 minutes, while those in their 70s take about 20 hours, with the average for all men being about half an hour." (Source: Refractory period (sex) - Wikipedia)

But, my theory could be wrong. There could be an imbalance of certain chemicals causing excessive prolactive production. Truthfully, I don’t know.

This is relevant to my original post in this thread, as I believe that I was mistaken when I attributed my temporary impotence to a prolonged clamping session, when in reality it was a refractory period that followed orgasm. However, the minor sponge-likeness that proceeded for the next three days, which happened after the prolonged clamping session but did not happen after I had sex yesterday, was due to the prolonged clamping session.

By no means do I encourage anyone to clamp for 30 minutes, as it is dangerous. I just wrote this to clarify an error. Still, everyone ought to follow the clamping guidelines: 10 minute sessions, 3 times throughout the day.

Hey AM1221, first off I respect your outlook due to your experience in this matter, but I truly believe it varies from person to person. I do all of my clamping as a part of one routine. I also clamp after 30 min of jelq’s mixed with some edging. I do 2x20 min clamping sessions, while edging and jelqing. I also do bends at 10 min in each set and at the end of each set. I P.E. 5 on 2 off and have been doing this consistently for nearly two months. My member reacts well to this routine and I have had no negative indicators I still get morning wood and can even squirt one off after my cooldown, although I usually choose not to. I have made great girth gains with this routine and

Some nights I’m even woken up by my girl in the middle of the night for sex and have no problems getting up to 100%. I have a very high sex drive and always have, I don’t know if this helps or not but I don’t have problems with my routine or injury. So again I respect your view on this subject but like all things P.E. it varies with every individual.

Another thing I’d like to add to your post is don’t fall asleep with the clamp on you.. I’ve had that happen to me twice and woke up to a numb shaft. Luckily, both times it wasn’t tight enough to make it fall off and roll away.

Do you have the statistics for the refractory period for young men?

I’ve had sex plenty of times, and every time I’ve finished - I’ve never had a refractory period like you described (apparently) because my unit is always still up.

It’s a curious thought.
