Well… I’d be willing to pay for a link to my new site (in my signature) if it were on the front forum page: thundersplace.org/forum

That way I don’t have to justify donating to a dick pulling site (from my business account), to my over zealous accountant :D
Having said that, you Yankees have heard the term “no taxation without representation…” The only thing that I am ashamed of on this site is the rudeness of some of the guys towards women. If I was a moderator, I would moderate them into a black hole. There was one thread where a member’s g/f chimed in, and another guy said he did not like women posting on TPs. WTF? Are we living in a locker room?

So there you have it folks! You involve sponsors, and they start demanding things - better stick to donations I suppose :(

You could setup a posting fee but all that will do is encourage people to use the Search tool more often. :)

For instance $6 gets you 6 months of posting privileges, dont want to pay? Then you don’t get to post. Of course you can still read other posts. If you want a voice then a (small) sacrifice should be made for the place that lets you have your say.

With over 100k in membership, TP can’t muster up $4k per year? I donated $50. (peanuts in the big picture) Why not have a one time “membership” fee that is necessary to STAY a member. This fee would not need to be very much with the number of members we currently have.

Seriously, $5 per member to stay on as a member. Let’s say “only” 25k stay on. Well, that’s enough to support TP for easily 15 years. A lot of people are getting great benefit for ZERO money. Shit, a shrink costs $90 per hour, and the boys here, are as easy or easier to talk to. Cough up some dough folks.

I like TP the way it is, and under the current ownership.
