The best time for the first ever decon break

Is there a hard and fast guideline such as “after a certain amount of gain”.or a certain amount of elapsed time since beginning a routine?

I have been PE’ing since early late April but don’t feel like I want to stop because I’m worried about losing the gains.


4/2008 Bpel 6.50, Beg 5.5, Mseg 4.9

6/2008 Bpel 6.75, Beg 5.5, Mseg 5.1

9/2008 Bpel 7.00, Beg 5.5, Mseg 5.1

From what I’ve learned the best time to take a decon break is once you’ve stopped gaining. Obviously everyone gains differently and works at a different pace, so it’s hard to have a universal amount or time before determining when to take a break.


Then 01/15/08 EBPL: 6.25 EG 5.10 Now 10/05/09 EBPL 7.75 EG 5.25 Girth work for 103 days.

New Short Term Goal: EBPL 8.0 EG 5.5 Lifetime goal 9x6.5 PE log and journal

3 months without a gain, might as well take at least a couple of weeks off. Don’t even think about it.

Whats really funny is those who have hit that point, might retract a bit during the decon break. They usually gain back what they lost and have new gains.

djrobins said it right. PE till you stop getting gains, then take a month off. You might lose a LITTLE (not much) during that time, but it will come back easy, and you should be able to gain again on top.

I have been performin PE since october 2010 so they are almost six months of PE.. It seems that I’m not gaining no more.. Is it time to do a decon break? And if yes.how long should it last?


Start (october 2010) : BPEL 18,5 cm ; EL 17,5 cm ; MSEG 13,75 cm ,BEG 14,25 cm ;FL 12 cm ; FG 10,75 cm ; BPFSL 18,5 cm

3 months later ( January 2011) : BPEL 19 cm ; EL 18 cm ; MSEG 14 cm ; BEG 14,5 cm FL (hard to say if it grows due to size shifting of the soft state.. The same as before or bigger!) ; FG 11 cm ; BPFSL 19 cm***all hard sizes taken @ my hardest and doing a kegel***Goal: cementing a round 18 x 14 hard coupled with a good EQ.

I’m in the same boat, been ages since I gained but I’m still hoping hanging will help me ;) If it doesn’t work I’ll just clamp a lot for 2-3 months and go back to hanging. I think 2-3 months is about the ideal amount of time you want to take off. 1 month may just not be long enough to let the tissues return to a normal state.

Two approaches that I think are reasonable when you hit a plateau. One is a decon. The other, espoused by Monty, is to up the force about 25% for about 1-2 minutes, to break up fibrous tissue that may have formed, but no more than that.

If you already are pulling your dick near off, then forget that second and do the first…and you may need 6 months.
